Considering the Wild West that drop goal defensive pressure has been since forever, that Plath call was unheard of, advertised crackdown or not.
I'd feel a bit raw if I was a Dolphins fan.
That was a really limp end to the set for the Dolphins. If you are going to back your defence then at least get the ball deep into the Raider's corner for the tackle 5 option. A turnover on the 20 was always going to give the Raiders a shot. Negative tactics don't often come off in the NRL
I reckon a Dolphins win would be a better result. I think the Raiders are looking okay for the 8. Their draw from here is good, and they have put some points on a few sides this year. They get Fogarty back at the business end too.
Nothing is a given in the NRL. I'm interested to see if Reece Walsh ends up the way of the Milf, Barba etc.
Milford looked like a generational talent when he first arrived. He was never a half though
The other factor of the Dolphins win is that we had a 3 man bench for the game.
Niukore should have been rusty too.
Yeo's uncharacteristic brain snap was the real story of the Panthers game.
The Warriors have used 27 players in the last 4 weeks. That is crazy!
Any mathematical/stats nerd want to try and guestimate what percentage of our cap we were missing in the weekend?
No, but ending the season with probably around 26-28 points is a pretty decent return for their squad. Especially missing Flegler and Gilbert. Wins are wins and the Warriors made a meal out of their "piss easy" part of the draw
Teams 7-8 are not going to be particularly strong finals contenders...
Dolphins for me. That's the win that gets our season back on track, and allows for 6 points in 3 weeks, before our big players come back. It was our season right there, and it all went wrong with hit after hit in a disruptive week. 10 top players out and we outplayed them, especially up front. I...
There was a lot of fuss about Englishman Will Pryce when he signed for the Knights with KPP. Yet he hasn't made his debut and is behind Ponga, Armstrong, Cogger, Hastings, Gamble and perhaps Sharp in his favoured positions. Hopefully they didn't pay too much
Yeah sure and everything, but the forum has taken this 'rumour' up and run with it.
1. Dylan Brown is not off contract. He has player options in future years, but he is on contract.
2. Dylan Brown hasn't given any indication he is looking to leave the Eels
3. The Warriors haven't given any...
I bagged the shit out of the Montoya signing, despite banging on for years about spending too much of the cap on wingers. Despite not always being everyone's favourite, his initial contract was worth it and more
You have to be able to provide equitable contracts for them though. I could see a team making a play for Leiataua that we couldn't compete with whilst we have expensive wingers in DWZ and RTS.
RTS just doesn't fit for me. Love him, and we got him on a reduced contract. But $500k is still not...
We're in real danger of having a centre poached in the off-season. The coaching team is going to need to be really smart about identifying who really meets our needs for the coming years from the options available.
Crazy considering centre has been the Warriors Achilles heel for so much of its...
By the time this team is named, Sifakula will have had a second game for NSW Cup.
Given that he has been sitting on the sideline with the team on gamedays, was right in the mix before injury, and looks like a specimen right now, you'd have to think he is well and truly in Webby's thoughts...
