Leadership wise, it is wise to have Capewell stay. We need leaders who can verbalise their messages on field. Our young blokes are developing but they basically need another finals baptism to increase their ability to perform under pressure and lead others. Demetric and Tanner will be leadership material next season I speculate.

Probably Clark and Ford if Fish goes down next year, but a Cape is handy can always give him a 2 year deal and early release him to Perth in 2028 if needed, Bears won’t complain

NZ Warriors have officially become associated with a secondary school. Trainspotters will note that this school is not in Auckland but located in the scenic Garden City of Christchurch.
St Thomas College, winners of 2 of the last 3 secondary schools national champs are now part of the NZW players nursery. Hats off to St Thomas and Andrew Aumatangi in locking in this partnership that emphasises education with sporting opportunities.
Exciting times
Wow

St Thomas. Strong school

Fuck Sayfarth! Just saying.
SayWah't?
Have you seen his long kicks? It’s interesting to me that he’s plugged at LEFT centre and he happens to have pace and pass 😂🧐

Anderson’s probably that centre/wing utility we need next year as well. Roger’s tragic but I wonder if Cappy actually foresee the risk….(copium from me 😭)
Nothing on that limited Newcastle highlights video (offensive in goal kick, offensive short range aerial kick).

It may well be that the reason he is not being played in the halves is that his rehab plan say's no kicking.

Also if he had a decent long kick playing him long term at Center in this team would be a bizarre call in the least.

Do Clark and Ford have the verbal skills to get messages across? The players I've seen verbally speaking from memory are Barney, Fish, Tanah, Taine, Wayde, Kurt. Not sure about Erin or Jackson.

We are talking middles, Barney is gone, Fish the whole point was what happens if he’s injured, then it’s Cape who I want to extend, if he’s on origin duty or injured too then Clark and Ford have to step up or you’re asking demi, tss or EIT to do the pep talk. Clark was telling off Mets early last year so he knows his stuff and happy to verbally let it be known. I am team cape but if it comes down to it clark and ford need to step up with their mouth

I saw jacko scream ' TAKE IT TO ANOTHER LEVEL' or some such in a team huddle once.....

Doesn’t take much to like talk lol, Fish ain’t exactly a talker. RTS was stuttering when he first became a captain. Just responsibility assignment, in saying that Cape offers more than huddle talks, live viewers say he organizes the defense so that’s huge

I think its just the ability to perform so people can't fault you. Then you bring em with you. If tohu can Captain I'm not to worried.

Add Egan to that also!

Yeah, and Fisher Harris non verbal communication nailed, he has the thousand yard stare.

One look from a guy like him and you know what is up.

A bit like Clint Eastwood in a spaghetti Western, the less he say's the better.

So best scenario for the club for some areas next year would be
- Dallin/WW/AKP all available
- Linnane/Pompey backing up GA/Ali
- Boyd/TMM/CHT, Jett/Thompson plays both 6 and 7 since Boyd is our long term 7
- TT/CNK FB
- EIT full time first drop prop, Laban in regular 17 but 2nd drop prop, opening up pathway for Fats and Neal, Salilalo and Page-Wilson afforded to be introduced to FG without rush

GA can probably cover FB and wing, so if Dallin leaves it’s not a crisis as we have Linnane and Pompey, maybe they give Ratcliffe a debut in dead rubbers late to take over CNK’s depth spot in 2028? We have the cash so can legit look for any star back that pops up and adjust accordingly? Would be good Dallin just stays for a year
