I wasn't sure where to put this, seems to blow a lot of smoke up Webby's bum so here it can lay.

Interesting he thinks Webby ball 2026 is still boring but effective, from memory we've been scoring from grubbers (!), bombs, crash balls, inter passing of Fish/Clark/Barney/Ford, intercepts/long range, and corners on both sides now. Even Egan scored himself.

From a non-expert POV the attack pattern I see is repeat one outs until we get a fast PTB, then throw to the halves with shape and they have a bunch of options to utilize....

Not sure why but Taine has had much less "to pass or not to pass" moments lately or trapped on attack, combos clicking?

nothing boring about good fundamental rugby league. After all, we are currently the best attack in the NRL scoring 32 pts a game! But I do think our gameplan is dependent on winning the middle. Many of the tries we are scoring are coming from opposition fatigue as opposed to brilliant attacking shape like Manly or Newcastle.

I think the guy who wrote it is trying to compare the erratic, 'pull a win out of our asses' nature of 'Warrior-ball' with the 'week in, week out' consistency of 'Webby-ball'.

I don't think he's calling it 'boring' per-se. I mean, who doesn't get half a chub when Demi runs it off the back fence, or when DWZ fly's through the air and dots it in the corner?

That's just good footy.

Yes. We no longer Rely on Nathan Fien backflips.

Don't get sensitive, for the neutral its boring but successful footy well executed, so are Penrith who he got these ideas from, terribly boring to watch them grind teams down over the years, at least once wildcards like Kikau and Koroisau were gone.

The warriors most exciting players like Leka (or metcalf) really haven't done a whole lot this year.

Lots of good teams are boring, springboks, boring, OKC thunder, boring, arsenal this year, boring - analytics in sport and understanding what wins has sidelined the 'anything could happen' aspect a bit.
