Looking at social media from Brisbane you would think that there is only one team in town. Wahs supporters everywhere and making lots of noise before the big march to the stadium gets underway.
Got a good feeling about this, Wahs by 13+.
Been to the last 2dayx and there’s clearly more Wahs fans around than any other team

44-12 to us. This is the dawn of the age of the era of the coming of the Tanah Boyd Queensland halfback show.

Leka to ignite because the big moments were made for Selumiela. Demetric to terrify everyone in the stadium with his hits and runs. But SJ will be doing cartwheels at Demi's sublime soft hands putting Fish away under the posts.

Let's get it team. Earn it. Win it. Enjoy it.

This game is potentially huge for our season.

Thanks to Roosters and Bunnies choking this week, a win here would give us 2nd place outright and put a 2 and 4 pt gap on 3rd (Roosters) and 4th (Manly/Souths). With our superior f/a, that amounts to a 4 and 6pt gap on 3rd, 4th and safely entrenched inside the top 2 and perhaps battling it out with penrith for the minor premiership.

Lose this however and we are dragged back into the shitfight for the edge of the 4 alongside roosters, rabbits and possibly manly. So winning this puts us in pole position to finish top 2 this year and have 2 home finals with the favorable origin period coming up.

As others have said, the gameplan is simple. Recreate the Melbourne defensive effort and win the middle, bash Walsh and Mam. out of this game and kick the young fella Coates to death. The AKP/Coates matchup could work in our favor. With Mariner out, I think we have the edge in backline speed today.

The start is super important today: almost all magic round games have been decided in the first 20-30 minutes when one side just didn't turn up. Control the start, and we will grind them down over the course of the 80 minutes.

Wahs 36 Broncs 18.

Historically the Wah don't play well coming of a bye. However this team has something different to it. Also I believe we play twice in Aussie concurrently before returning so it could work in our favor. If we can snag one of either Bronco or Dragon that will be a win.

if we are serious as a contender, we need to be aiming to win both of those games. The game after v penrith is where a loss is more acceptable.

Shaping up as a nice morning here in Brissy, blue sky starting to peak through.

Feeling confident we are absolutely the better team, the only nagging concern is articles saying that the Hammer is slightly in front of Walsh for the Qld #1 jersey and a big game is needed! Piss poor timing frankly. Walsh at home on a Sunday afternoon against his old side on magic round needing a big game to cement his place in the Qld side, its a dead set gee up. Need a great kicking game to the corners and a better kick chase.

Still confident, up the Wahs.

Could see Madge selling this to his players like when they play the Dolphins...."these Wah fans are going to come and try and take over our house!!!"

Dangerous game, Bronc's plenty of strike if they click.....dont see any need to change what we're doing - win the possession, territory and discipline battles - Warrior ball 101.

And surely our back 3 have played Reynolds enough to know he's looking to 40/20 their asses any chance he gets.

Confident in the boys today.

I think that well largely dominate the game, however given all the game breakers in their backs they'll largely keep pace with us until that last 20 minutes where we go straight through the middle.

Im guessing its a close game with either team up by a few in that last 20, before we end up pulling away.

32-24 Wahs.

Looking forward to a trick shot where we use AKPs speed for a long ranger. You heard it hear first

Might be ideal timing if the journo is a broncs supporter, which they all are in QLD.

Our boys have just as much to play for origin wise. Then there's tanwah wanting to prove to all the Metcalf supporters in Aussie league media that the club made the right decision backing him.

Ah i hear ya.....the old in goal chip and chase 🤪

Ive always thought when opposition are trying trap someone in goal the chasers generally flatline so theres a bit of open space just behind them prime for a chip and chase speed merchant.

Ive always wondered why no ones ever contemplated it......and then reality hits and i realize its cause their not fucking idiots! :)
