I’m headed to Europe in late June. There is still 80% of the worlds supply that doesn’t go through Iran. The world’s not running out of fuel, so supply and demand will mean it just gets more expensive until supply meets demand.

Capitalism is great, it will work out.

If there’s jet fuel limiting then domestic fares will be cut, with internationals still operating.

I think to NZ and back from Singapore might be a bridge too far without refueling. A quick top up in Brisbane or Darwin would work although from what I'm hearing from family is the Aussies are in a worse predicament than us.

We keep hearing about approving another 7 days of diesel storage but that would be irrelevant if supply to Nz was cut off.

1 - We should have 3 months supply WITHIN the country.

2 - We should work towards changing the majority of our vehicle fleet to electric within 10 years.

3 - We should actively pursue hydro and geothermal generation (bring up Trump any time a Greenie worries about a rare native moss).

On a positive note, we’ve got 5 surgeries/ hospital issues within our extended families at the moment and the hospital wait lists seem to be down and timeframes are shorter.

Anyone seen the figures about the health wait times? Is the long term health crisis under control?

Rising above politics, it’s great if our health system has recovered from COVID and people are getting the care to eg need

I haven't seen the figures but from my perspective, I have had a surgery and a couple of extended family members have need things done and it didn't seem to be a huge wait time to get them done.

You know, I've been thinking long and hard lately, and taking in all the feedback that i've been getting, mostly from people who I now consider to be great friends and peers.

And I've come to the conclusion that they're correct. I've been going about this all wrong.

Petrol, oil, fossil fuels - that is totally the way of the future. Fuck all these pussies and cucks with their solar renewable woke fest, soy fairies that they all are. Ford Rangers are the minimum any man, and I can think of one shining example with world army knowledge right now, should have.

And wealth accumulation - FUCK YEAH. All these 99%ers with their hands out - why don't they put down their avocado lattes and do some real sacrifice, like me and my new mates.

So, truly, thank you Wiz, Rick, Inruin, Brownstone, ShaunJohnson7, Mr Drag and especially Frank for making me see the error of my ways.

I'm joining up to the ACT party and the Taxpayers Union right now.

Boy, will my life be so much better. Fuck everyone else!

Honestly, I tried to April fools all 3 of my kids separately and they saw right through it and the only ones to fall for it were all the lefties on here who seem to have a generally negative outlook on life and are so serious that’s it’s easy to prank 🤣

It’s great to see you can lighten up with this post.

More lightening of our outlook in life makes all the challenges that pop up easier to navigate. Life doesn’t need to be just going from crisis to crisis!

And there is the middle road of practicality of using fuel when needed and due to cost pressures while tackling the bigger issues over a longer time frame and as technology and costs allow. More practical and less dogma.
