Well i mean one side has the choice between the wallabies and the other has the ABs. Kids in NZ dream of becoming a AB, kids in aus see rugby union as a backup, backup plan. A world of diffrence here.
Fair. But there have also been some great players (who have played for ABs) who have gone to have great league careers too.
Frano Botica
John TImu
Vainga Tuigamala
Craig Innes
Matthew Ridge

all of them played their bulk of the careers at other league clubs. We got Ridge and Botica near the end of their careers. And these are All Blacks that made the switch....theres lots of other players below those levels who could be tempted or from 7s or even Fiji 7s teams etc. Other teams can do it, why cant we?

They are often joined at the hip for Kiwi kids who just breathe oval ball sports and many top All Blacks nearly went over. Bulldogs went after a few in Jonah Lomu and Zinzan Brook

Dan Ginane: "Dogs are not guaranteed top 4 but that is surely a formality, despite this loss".

Really? Are we sure the dogs are guaranteed to stay in the top 4? There is actually a very realistic scenario where the dogs miss out and we stay in.

Dogs finish the year against Penrith and Sharks. We finish the year against Tits, Parra and Manly. Sharks have Newcastle and then Dogs. So If dogs lose both those games and us and sharks win both, dogs will drop out of the four. We finish 3rd and Sharks 4th.
He’s a Dogs fan

Broncos really are flat track bullies. When it's time to roll up their sleeves and do the difficult work they struggle. Knights looked okay for about 10-15 minutes there and Broncos didn't have any answers.

They've got the talent that they'll probably piss another 2 or 3 tries in quite comfortably and win easy, but will largely look poor for a lot of the 2nd half I reckon

If we don’t keep 4th spot then
I hope we take them or Cronulla in rd1…

Need to avoid Penrith at all costs
