🤖 Thread Summary

The Warriors' recent loss to the Dolphins has sparked extensive discussion among fans, with many acknowledging the team's valiant effort given a depleted roster. Despite the narrow defeat, some, Stalefish540 #202636, highlight Roger Tuivasa-Sheck's outstanding performance, and others are impressed with debutant EIT’s performance. Others expressed concern over the team's inability to close out the game, particularly in the final minutes, with several posters noting how players seemed to be standing around passively, failing to pressure ball carriers, Beastmode #202491. There's also debate regarding specific player performances, particularly Jackson Ford, sydneywarrior92 #202577 defending his contributions amidst some criticism, while others are not convinced by his impact.

A major point of contention is the two-week suspension given to Felise Kaufusi for a tackle that resulted in a season-ending injury for Jacob Laban. Many, The Salary sombrero 2 #203499, consider the suspension laughably inadequate, given the severity of Laban's injury and the perceived intent of the tackle. Others, Boats n Hoes #203544, draw comparisons to other recent suspensions, arguing the NRL's inconsistency is glaring. This incident has intensified feelings that the league's disciplinary measures are insufficient to deter dangerous play.

Beyond player performances and controversial incidents, larger strategic issues were also discussed, including the play-calling in the final minutes and the team's overall attacking arsenal. Some fans, Dannevegas #203004, believe the Warriors are too content with mediocrity, arguing that the team needs to take more risks and adapt its play style. There's also discussion about the role of trainers on the field, with some, Boats n Hoes #203636, believing they are overstepping their boundaries and influencing the game too much.

Happy to eat humble pie over Tanah Boyd, he played a great game. TMM always threatening and was great as well. We were the better team with so many outs but dolphins did to us what we did to knights. Thought a lot of players really put their hand up despite the loss. Jackson Ford had his best game, needs to remember to stay on his feet playing the ball but don’t think anyone had a bad game

Our last plays at the other end to die with the ball and not try to get 6 again. Obvious instructions from the coach. What a shit tard way to try and win a game.
Yep, thats when we should be looking to put the nail in the coffin.

But nope, lets just run it to the corner on the last and give them the ball back.

Not the first and wont be the last time that tactic bites us in the ass.

rough as.

can't be happy about that as we were or should've been up by more than that ... surprised we didn;t take the 2 ... some fucked arse calls in that game too ... both ways

I don’t know if I have been watching a different game the last few years, but either the trainer of ref ‘usually’ stops the clock for an injured player. Leka was down for more than a set.

Top 4 is done and dusted after tonight, we should limp onto 7th or 8th best case scenario. How things could be so different with a fit Luka and Barney 😢
