Looking forward to tomorrows card on Netflix.

Been a while since I've seen a Crawford fight. Would have been back the time Sky was plying the PBC cards.

Also haven't seen a Canelo fight live for a while. Stopped getting PPVs due to having young kids and being busy.

Netflix is pretty convenient compared to I've brought this now need to be here for 3 hours.

Watched the countdown shows today.

Going to be interesting to see how Crawford goes coming up multiple weight classes.
Ahh totally missed this, thanks for the reminder!

Prelims are on the UFC YouTube channel.

Not sure on the fights. As my internet is playing up out in the garage. When it did stream it was part of the countdown.

On the UFC Channel as the show is partly promoted by Zuffa Boxing (UFC/Dana White). This might rub some people the wrong way as Dana can be polarizing. One thing he did say in an interview with Max Kellerman was how boxing cards have too much filler. Fight, talk about predictions. Hard to wtch on TV bu must be hard at the arena. So it might be a bit different today in that they get through the fights quicker.

To play devils advocate on that. The UFC have clips between fights as well and you need to give the fighters an indication on what time they will be fighting.

I only caught the last of the prelims. A good fight a lot of inside fighting. Those are goot when there isn't a lot of clinching.

Like the UFC ESPN fights the prelims went overtime. Still going a few rounds when the main card started.

Dana the fights will run through quickly. It's taken 30 minutes to get to the intros of the first fight.

Crawford took Alvarez to school eh. No contest. Boxing is a terrible sport though, even after such a commanding performance, you cannot be sure the judges are not criminals.

I enjoyed the fight, the commentary sucked though, bunch of guys who love the sound of their own voices and kept spinning narrative to prove their expertise while missing calling some of the best punching flurries in the fight.

Crawford is an interesting person, he has a hardness that is difficult to define.

On the Countdown show they had a story about him getting shot in the ear and driving himself to the hospital.

The judging is always a worry in a Canelo fight. Even Mayweather who easily outboxed him had one judge give it a draw. I've seen a lot of discussion on the GGG decisions, especially the first which was judged a draw. Bivol outboxed him, I saw some discussions on that decision after the Crawford fight. Checked the cards and they were close something like 7 rounds to 5.

I enjoyed the prelim fight I saw and Mbilli vs Martinez was my favourite fight on the undercard. Two fights with guys in close. Those fights are good when there isn't a lot of clinching. They must be frustrating for the trainers with them giving instructions to jab and the fighters walk in next to each other to work the body and throw hooks and uppercuts in close.

Crawford was relaxed all week. Even going up 2 weight classes and the long layoff. He still made it look easy. A special talent.

I am pretty sure it was Crawford Bob Arum was complaining about. Saying he was a good fighter but too hard to promote, not marketable.

I thought it was stupid when he first said it. As that's his job, market the guy and put on the fights to build him up or turn him into a star.

I saw an interview after the fight with Timothy Bradley explaining how he sparred with Crawford.

Crawford gets dropped off by his brother in-law. No entourage, get ready to spar by himself. Bradley "I'm there with my entourage, a former champion. He turns up by himself and whoops my ass".

It was quite a hard fight to watch after the UFC main event yesterday.

I loved boxing growing up in the Tyson era, love Ali. But the product isn't has exciting as MMA.

I agree, he took that fight by the horns. Canelo never seemed to find his rhythm

Crawford had plenty of stamina late into the fight (not to take anything away from him, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him fail some sort of doping test). Mind you, the sheik probably wouldn't allow that sort of bad publicity to get out if it did happen

Great to see the fight on Netflix - gone are the days of waiting for hours for the main event, waiting through all the curtain raisers. You can just turn your phone off and watch it later in the day and fast forward most of the other bouts

Was surprised/shocked to see Crawford
Out to $2.50 ($3.50 by dec).

Just had a feeling he would be too much for canelo in terms of pivots, creating angles. Even in the inside exchanges he was winning them.

Always love watching crawford figbt

Gee Parker doesn't do safe.

Still, Joe should have too much speed, and too much ring craft for this guy.

Watching Wardleys highlights he does look at times like a an athlete that decided to give boxing a go late....(as mentioned in the video) kinda like Gallen and SBW but way more talented as a boxer.
You see him use the shoulder roll in his highlights and the crouching peekaboo ala Mike T, and that always looks flash, but then you see him flat footed, no defence, swinging a clubbing right hand over and over and over to the point of it looking like a zombie.

I am surprised he is taking on Parker, but I guess given his back story, his management may feel time is against them and this may be the only big fight he ever gets so fair enough.

Joe will be too fast, too crafty, too skilled for him.

But yeah watch out for that heavy hook eh.

It is good to see Parker keeping busy.

A lot of fighters going on a run of wins like he has, getting into title contention would wait. Unfortunately, he wasn't getting talked about as highly for a title fight as some other fighters were. It is a risk in fighting and losing his ranking, but keeping active and winning would help to continue to push his case for a title fight.

He has been improving under Andy Lee and keeping active. He also seems to be more disciplined with his diet and training.

Wardley will be dangerous, being undefeated, and as his last fight shows, he can be losing all rounds and still carry his power late. That could lead to him thinking the big shot will eventually come.

Wardley isn't a huge heavyweight like the 2m plus or guys carrying a lot of mass. Both guys stand in the 1.9x metre range, the same as Usyk. It is unlikely you are going to find a southpaw with good movement like Usyk. Fighting someone a similar size is probably the best you can do, looking to prepare for that title fight.

Thanks for the updates you guys post in here bro (thanks @Shogun for the Parker heads up) I don't follow boxing like I used to (I used to follow the heavy weight division like the Warriors).

I might have missed this fight was coming up.

I see a lot of fight fans (especially in the UK) are genuinely excited about this fight.

Two respected hitters going at it.

Joseph Parker has become the modern day hero, the guy the boxing world admires for picking himself up and boxing on.

It is amazing how much he has improved (which 100% proves how miss trained he was).

Joe has grown in the exact areas where he had deficits, power, head movement, footwork.

David Tua never did that, Joe is a different athlete, more teachable and that is why boxing fans respect him most of all, because they see the improvement as a fighter, not something you often see in boxing.
