I think Healey leaving is a higher probability that Metcalf leaving because Egan is in front of him.

That concerns me greatly. If I had to pick out of Egan and Healey I would go Healey. He is going to get better and better, and I would hate for that to be at another club.

Healey is not going to sit behind Egan forever and I hope when the time comes, Webby does not base the decision on staying loyal and being conservative but goes for the guy who is the best for us long-term. That decision is coming 100%, there is no way to avoid it.
He literally just did one season here. He's not incumbent and shouldn't be until Egan is tapered out of the team. Every position should have a good backup. Healey's speech before his first grade debut was like "I just needed someone to believe in me"

And the sharks weren't it. We were.

He'll have the run of that jersey sooner than later here.

No shit, Webby’d been doing him dirty. He’s already better than Egan and he’s origin material
Saying hes better then egan is a bit far, hes got potential to be a top hooker but has some big work ons, just watching him im NSW cup he has to work on his decision making to cement a spot.

That being said he should be the clear 14 next year and I dont know if I can take TMM being put there instead

Boyd is not the answer, if Metcalf is outta here we better have something up our sleave that isn’t called TMM, Boyd or Hanson. Real kick in the guts if Mets goes. Halves market is dry as fuck
Yuppp, with Boyd as our half we would be lucky to finish 12th. We aren't doing anything we Boyd. The only caveat would be, that if we had a superstar 6 (or developing superstar 6, who was a dynamic runner and could kick a bit) we could make the 8 but that does not look likely.

Just a thought on the Metcalf rumours. In my experience, when you you sign up to go somewhere else for a gig you discuss it with your partner and family then make the call like, we will do this for 3 or 5 or 10 years and then quit to either retire or move to another place. The partner and family are usually the driving force and the old adage of happy wife, happy life is still true today. AFB was a good example of it not being happy.
Interestingly, having been to Bali for a few family weddings, getting married in Queenstown is a big high 5 to the club and to NZ especially with a lot of his team mates there.
I'm picking he stays
So true. All depends on the missuss and the team. Many Sydney wives haven’t handled the nz culture but many do and thrive as well. I think having lived in the UK can be a factor, like Webster, been to a few clubs, Cleary. Metcalf seems pretty into NZ and getting married this year in Queenstown, so let’s hope they give it another 2/3 years. Congrats to the couple and turn on the charm Queenstown. Happy wife, happy life.

It’s a shame but true. Hopefully Egan wants to stay around and mentor/back up for a bit, but my money is on Healy as a long term prospect if he doesn’t want to go back to Sydney. Wade has shown massive loyalty so very hard decision….

I wonder sometimes if there’s a frustration from Webster regarding Egan’s tendency to pick up a niggle or head knock? Can recall when Egan was out for a bit, it started with Webster saying that Egan wasn’t injured and he asked him to just give him a bit longer in one particular game where Egan looked to be struggling. Might have been bulldogs game when he dropped the ball clean with nobody around him and he looked really frustrated? Shit weather too that game. Egan isn’t a Webster signing and came with the roster when he became coach. Egan seems to have great periods where he’s in the frame for origin and then drops off a bit but I’ve still got him as the best dummy half at the club
