What I'd like to see is when Api'i retires, the Warriors make a play for Black Ferns superstar Braxton Sorenson-McGee. She's expressed a desire to one day play league and for the Kiwi Ferns.

She grew up playing league, her and Maia Davis from the 7s would be the two to go after with their youth and league experience.

Could build around them for the next 10 years.

Might be hard to get RU players over competing against the allure of Internationals and potentially English Pro Clubs contracts now too.
Maybe have them moonlighting with RL between world cups might be the way.

Born in Whangarei but has lived in QLD since she was 13.. seems unlikely she would get a release just to move back to Brisbane..?

I think we're well served at Prop. Matekino Gray, Lavinia Kitai , Ivana Lauitiiti, Harata Butler would be my starting/bench 4.

Same, she did a pretty good job covering at 7 when given the opportunity.

I thought she was very ineffective in defence and had a poor kicking game, no great loss IMO.

Paki would be ideal 14. She did a decent job wherever she fit shifted and well ahead of Quedley by a long shot. Sorenson-McGee knocked back a development, she will arrive eventually you’d imagine. Good to see Ivana win tackle of year at Dally M’s. Leka robbed

Who going to do the organizing? we have two running stand offs?

Maliepo might be the one based off her out and out adaptability and kicking game.

That is my only concern....Who is the seven guys? Broughton or Maliepo?

Maliepo is my 7. Gale is more of a runner , Short ball into gaps specialist. Maliepo is similar, with more tricks up her sleeves. Kicking game is superior to gale.

Maliepo, she's got the boot and running game to develop into an awesome 7 with time.

I didn't realise she's only 22, can build a really good team around a core of her and the young forwards like Gray, Lauatiti, & Hill-Moana.

Definitely Maliepo as the 7. With an off season to work on it, I'm sure she can. She was a 10 in rugby, but apparently played a lot of fullback too. So I'm imagining a Luke Metcalf esque transition to 7
