NRL Round Discussion NRL FINALS Week 1, 2025 Discussion

You just know that the Warriors are going to cop a massive suspension for a head butt early next year as the start of a "crackdown." Remember when Demi grabbed Cleary's collar and was sin-binned?

I get everyone wants to see the best players in the finals. I do too. It will not be how it is consistently ruled.

to be fair, who and why would a Warrior head butt?

That's brain explosion material.

What's more likely is a major game or even final will be lost by us when a marginal line ball is ruled forward by the bunker.

There are murmuring's that 'clear & obvious' forward passes in try scoring situations are going to be ruled on next year.

You just know it will be us that cop it lol.

You have people banned for accidental foul play then clearly deliberate stuff like this is just a fine?

What example are they trying to set for kids?

The game lacks integrity around suspensions.

TBH broncos looking pretty good for the premiership all of a sudden? Straight to R3, having Reynolds back and they only have to take out the dogs or panthers and then either raiders playing 4th finals game in a row or Storm minus Hughes

All of a sudden? Broncos are one of the big three deservedly they've been a serious shot at the prize all year, only injuries seemed to put doubt in their chances like everybody else.

Be interested to see how Haas pulls up, they might be down playing that leg i recon.

The way teams are bull shitting about injuries (concussions especially) tells you it is finals time.

Considering a few months ago Madge was under pressure, player having a subtle dig online getting fired, going through a hole, then losing both halves in the same play + Cobbo, and down 16 points with 20min to go against the hot favorite in the finals

Would be so crazy if Madge ends up winning Pacific champ with us, SOO then premiership with the broncos in his first year, after...a 20 years draught?

A few on here laughing gleefully that they were going down hill fast and not going to make the right.

Be interesting to see how they go next game. I'm assuming Reynolds back at 7 and Hunt at 6. Hunt doesn't seem to go that well playing the support role in the halves (like at the beginning of the season) so be interesting to see if it works for them this time.

If he makes it, looked like he'd aged 10 years during that game, then blew a head gasket when they won. He wouldn't last a week as Warriors coach.
Since we're out I've gone very much part time on the comp and it's outcomes.... but it's just occurred to me that the funniest result could be the Sharks winning in a GF against the Broncos... and I hate hate the Sharks... it's just that somehow the dogs have gotten even more obnoxious this season... so yeah, this is what I'm hoping for now ... the Sharks doing what Penrith thought they'd be the first to achieve, and not against the Minor premiers (Ricky left spinning and burning like a piece of spaceX debris after elimination)
