Watched the presser with webby saying Leka a shining light. Wonder if he plans to use him again at center?
Yeah, I think it will be Halasima or CNK ahead of Capewell. I personally thought Halasima's positioning on defence was excellent (making Dallin's decisions all the more mindnumbing). Webby won't look to reserve grade.Watched the presser with webby saying Leka a shining light. Wonder if he plans to use him again at center?

Hats off to Leka too. Positioning at centre takes a high footy IQ, which on top of his physical x-factor and age is bloody impressive.
Boyd/Capewell etc. always looks half a pace off.
When I think back to us getting over the panthers last year, Tuaupiki was instrumental. I think I’d consider Tuaupiki fullback and CNK centre. Tough one though because Halasima is our biggest threat at the momentI hope it's not CNK, to be honest he's either fullback or left right out currently. Doesn't do enough from centre, and is about a 7 out of 10 on defence.
Leka I think would do as good a job as he did last night, but as expected, a 19 year old who doesn't predominantly play center was solid and not much more. I don't think that is worth losing out on his regular, attacking game. No one was able to get him one on one or exploit his attack.
If centre is something they are seriously considering for Leka long term, he has a whole off season to learn that
EIT will be out with his dislocated shoulder. Marata potentially as well, as he seemed to be limping quite bad at the end of the matchCan anyone form a counter arguement as to why we shouldn't just play Halasima on the left hand side & move Capewell to the right side workhorse style role?
Halasima has scored tries on both sides this year but he carries the ball in his left arm and we shouldn't be wasting his energy on the right side kick chase. Look back to CHT's try against the Dragons where Leka was swatting off multiple guys, drew & passed to RTS (granted it wasn't a great pass) but he created an opportunity out of nothing.
CNK hasn't played right Centre all year, and the only time I've ever seen him on that edge was Rd 26 last year (120m, 2 linebreaks, 6 tackle breaks) but I'd put him there this week rather than asking Pompey to switch.
Healey to start because if he doesn't he'll probably be waiting 60 minutes before he gets on.

Bummer. His versatility is ideal in #17.EIT will be out with his dislocated shoulder.
Anyone notice when DCE did the drop goal, Leka was sprinting from out wide and almost charged it down.Hats off to Leka too. Positioning at centre takes a high footy IQ, which on top of his physical x-factor and age is bloody impressive.
