don't get the controversy over the penalty. It is a penalty every day of the week. Penrith were cheating in the ruck the entire game, so I have no sympathy with them being caught out in such an important moment.

Balls in our court again today. Hope the boys have sorted out their wobbles. A one week hiatus from the top 4 would be a drop in the bucket if we end up with a 2nd top 4 finish in 3 years.

Yeah, my thoughts too - Grant flails like that cos he knew it was going to be given, not to convince - it was the flail of victory

Usually only watch until half time on Thursday nights so I'm only asleep for half the day at work instead of three quarters of it. Got the day off so stayed up for that. Enjoyed that one.

I found it funny after all of the talk about trainers the last few weeks and how the Panthers had their trainer on the field guiding them for the set of six that won the Titans game. Last night drop goal charged down and you see the trainer sprint on the field. He was on the field the rest of the match.

We will see if more discussion comes of it.

Some teams if they had the discussion on their use of trainers would ease off for a week or two. Let the discussion die down. The top teams, double down until the rules have changed.

There have been some good match ups on Thursday nights.

Even the last two rounds Thursday night has Bulldogs vs Panthers and Broncos vs Storm.

When they had Monday night games the atmosphere didn't feel the best due to small crowds. It will be interesting to see if Monday night works better now that the NRL is going a lot better. As they expand they will need new timeslots.

It’s the money. Thursday nights is a relatively new thing. In Oz it’s broadcast on free to air Channel Nine, and they pay the NRL gazillions for the privilege. So the NRL makes sure that what’s served up on Thursday nights is gonna keep Channel Nine happy, with bigger games even than Friday nights, which is already established as one to watch.
