It’s tragically amazing how many top tier players have played for the Wests Tigers in the last 10 years.
You could almost have a hybrid team of SOO/ Kiwi reps.
Had some useful coaches too, Cleary, Maguire, Sheens, Potter.
I think at the start of the year when Penrith were struggling and we were doing well and Tigers were doing ok, the argument was that Luai and JFH were the key to the Penrith 4peat success. Maybe Luai didn't have the best attacking stats as a half just like JFH didn't have the best run meters. But like JFH he'd be instrumental in building a strong team culture that would lead to long term success at the Tigers. I think the longer that this season has gone on, JFH was really more influential in the culture stuff.
I liked Jack Bird a lot at Cronulla.
Injuries have wrecked him yet he still manages to pick up contracts due to his supposed versatility.
But he is underwhelming now wherever he slots in.
