The six again is such a frustrating rule. It can be an easy out for the ref as they find an infringement that they likely wouldn't have penalised in the past.

We gave up a six again on the first tackle we made of the game. A six again on the 1st is an easy on for the referees. We got one of those later.

The frustration is some of the incredibly slow play the balls and the referee is fine with.

Some discipline with the calls like Ford taking out Walsh. A hard one for our guys to know that he was offside. So, can understand not challenging it.

Not saying the ref cost us the game or was the reason we played as bad as we did, but jezuz that dude was salty AF with the Wahs all game…
agree. Inventively pedantic against us... Broncos, not so much. Hope Webby has a 'please explain meeting. 2 obvious obstructions by them, including one where their whole team stopped expecting the whistle.. Their players a mile offside when we're in their red zone.... and stopping on your line is not changing direction/shepherding as far as I know. And he had the shits with Ford!

Disappointed for Kosi, it was nice to see so much positive press for him pre-game. But he turned in a poor game, no question

I avoid these threads like the plague after a loss. This one hurts quite a bit as I know we are better. But that first half was awful, can't even blame injuries on it like we can for the second half. Just error after penalty after error. How can we build pressure when we do that shit, it's the bane of our whole game plan as a team. Its beyond disappointing, the broncos did not play well enough to force those IMO. I don't know if a bye will help or hinder. But some kind of change must be found for our discipline to improve.

Metcalf and CNK being out for a while sucks. I hope it's not major. I don't think a new person in those positions fixes the errors we have. Its a fundamental issue.
Come on down Boyd and our best full back RTS

More than Kosi to blame
Whole team lost the first half
Berry nah offers nothing in attack
Poor tackle at end😵
Poor Kosi was cursed the minute you lot started talking him up during the week…..

Looks like we’re on the slide now ..

I don't want to sound harsh but I think we can all agree that Kosi's time as a first grade winger with us should be finished after tonight. I think I would prefer Kurt Capewell playing on the wing over Kosi or practically anybody else in the squad. His handling is nowhere near good enough, he is slow and his confidence is terrible especially after making an error. I don't see him being a big aerial threat either. In reserve grade you can get away with some of those deficiences. Not first grade. Webster will know it.

I don't even think DWZ is the answer on that wing either long-term. He has got slower this year before the leg injury.

For the next game we either need to put TT on the wing or Capewell to centre and Pompey to wing. Neither option is optimal but much better than what we had tonight.

I rate Berry though. I think he is going to get better and better each game back.

If anything is going to stop us this year it is going to be the handling, skill and pace of our backline.

It would have been good to go the entire season without losing two in a row. It would have been impressive.

Not to be. Now need to fix up the errors and turn things around.

A shame two losses coming after the Sharks win. Arguably our best of the season.

That would be Cape and Pompey left and TT right and Roger FB, probably won’t happen IMO

We were out enthused from the start and we were playing catch up from there. The Broncos did to our forwards what we have been doing to opposition packs.
The ref played a big part. Although we gave him plenty of opportunities to blow the whistle. When we have the upper hand we don't do the dumb stuff that we do when we're defending. Something they're going to need to work on more.
I'm not blaming Ed for the loss because he had some helpers out there but I felt he missed out on 2 tries that a better winger would have scored. His defensive play wasn't any worse than DWZ but that's not saying a lot
Two weeks to pick up the pieces and bounce back.
100% agree - there was something rotten in the state of queensland tonite ... oh well, I guess our season starts now - we have the team, and the attitude, let's go and do something with it
