Nine wins already in 13 rounds, after last season is impressive — no doubt. But let’s stay grounded and acknowledge there are still some pretty glaring weaknesses that need fixing.

Good win by the boys. TT should come in for DWZ, Webby needs to grow some balls. Berry coming in is forgiven and solid, he did well. Ford stepping up is great and much needed. Need Vaimuaga to step up. Leka found a way to make his mark despite his struggles.
Ref did us no favours this game for sure. Had to challenge successfuly twice. Soft penalties to the bunnies.
Why is Metcalf still kicking?
Latrell showed why he has top 5 NRL potential. Not many players I can think of have that take over a game potential. Cleary, Turbo, Critta maybe. Only on the back of some dumb play from us though. DWZ....
what we really want is a home final in week 3, not week 2. So we need to push for 2nd if possible because then we get 2 consecutive home finals I believe. Finishing 3rd or 4th and losing week 1 would mean a prelim if we get it is in Aussie like in 2023.

All three times the 5th place finisher has been over +120 and 4th has been around 200 or more. There is always a gulf between top4 and the rest of the finals teams
If we finish outside the top 4 it will be deservedly so and not due to PD.
This will be (or should be) the subject of a tough convo, for sure. Wouldn't be surprised to see a change in kicker closer to the finals.
We shouldn’t even be in the conversation for the GF, judging from preseason roster.. We are overachieving by being top 4.

I'm not sure about the rules but if we finished 3rd or 4th and won our week 1 final (which would be in Aussie), we'd also play a home final in week 3. I think cowboys finished 3rd in 2022 and got a home final in Townsville in week 3 by beating Cronulla in week 1. But obviously much easier if we finish 2nd. That'll give us 2 consecutive home finals no matter what happens in week 1.

If the season continues as we all think it will, Webby will have gotten 2 top 4 finishes in 3 years with a roster that many believe is actually bottom 4. No debate that he's coach of the year again. Doesn't have half the resources of Ciraldo at the dogs or Robinson at the Roosters and is performing at a comparable if not superior level. Just imagine what he would do with that Brisbane roster. Madge should be thankful that Webby is happy in NZ because if I was the broncos board, I'd be throwing the sink at webby.
