Blocker's commentary.

The play by play commentator even set one up for him with "Someone you've been impressed with in recent weeks Blocker, Marata Niukore".
That should be an easy on for a colour commentator "He's had some tough runs" or "Gives them some aggression". Instead we got silence.

Every game he has to point the Warriors forwards are slow to get back. This week he was quick on it. Kick return for the first tack and he says it as the outside back is doing the second carry. That is pretty much standard for every NRL side. Yes, it showed our guys waiting but that was to not interfere with the play.

One of the best things in 2023 was the period in the middle of the year when we were running over teams in the second half.

It was good to see us play a day game and in good weather.

Years ago he was still pushing the big Warriors forwards every week. We had one of the competitions smallest packs back then and would struggle each week.

One game he said we had the 2nd biggest packs only behind the Raiders. Later the sideline commentator comes in and said there is a myth the Warriors have a big pack. It is an area they have struggled with in recent years.

They brought him back years ago for a heritage round. It was a nice throwback. But they have kept him around since then. Someone who provides more insight into the modern game would be better. Leave him to the NRL360 legends sections.

I don't know if we can beat the top teams with the LM/CHT halves combo. They are both good in effort areas but just don't think they can unlock the better defences and their long kicking games aren't good enough.
Not asking for them to be dropped but think we must be looking around for those skills. Though surely long kicking you can learn?

CHT didn’t drop the ball today

It was the defense that got a bit wrecked for 10 minutes by Mitchell

I thought his bullet pass was legit and great today, the first one of the season was clearly a bonker huge forward pass

I understand the fear as we've been shit in the past, but we're a different team under Webby.

We're getting a home final in the first week of finals minimum. It's up to us to find the winning formula in the next 10 weeks or so. I think we're top 4 though

Really happy with the win. Seems we are the masters of winning the tight games. Not happy with letting in 30 points though. We have a good shot getting top 4 but we are having too many lapses in defence.

Hope Barnett is OK he is so important to this team. Feel for Rocco as he looked like 2023 Rocco tonight.
