I was expecting Horsburgh to be named for QLD Morons so I am oversubscribed for MIDs this round. Who would you guys trade out of this lot to get Jazz score?
In hindsight I should have looped him ffs.

You wouldn't usually but if I was going to trade one out is what I was asking
My vote is McInnis. He tends to oscilate between 60 plus and scores in the 30s and ends up with a 54 average. Can be frustrating to own.

Something has happened to Kautoga. He has improved out of sight in his last few matches compared to where he was even a month ago. He is only 22 and this is his real first season.
I am now going to have to choose between him and Hosking for who to trade Dylan Egan for next week.
I was really bagging him but he has really come on. Strong play last night.

Sounds like 90% of the forum members about Metcalf at the beginning of the season.

Kautoga has DPP which is great. I think Kautoga's ceiling is higher. What do you want from this position though? Are you looking for a long time keeper or a money maker?

If you want to catch up, Kautoga is also the play because less people own him in the higher ranks but more people do own him overall.

I feel like with your ranking, I would be going for more risky plays and just learn from these trades so you can keep improving your game play. Going safe choices, will be good for your sanity though.

Hmm - my research is that Hosking has some scores over 90 points in 2023 so I think he would have the higher ceiling if he clicks?
Kautogo is 105Kgs while Hosking is 97Kgs. That extra 8kgs make Kautoga quite scary in terms of what he could turn into if he reaches his true potential in terms of a power forward. So maybe that is partly where you are coming from with regard to ceilings.

For my strategies of focusing on the minor bye rounds Eels have a better profile than Raiders so that tips it towards Kautoga and as we both discussed yesterday things get fiddly at the end for Hosking with Nicholson back on the scene and a round 24 bye.

What I am in it for - probably after a long term keeper rather than cash as I am down on trades.

Thanks very much for your post those were helpful thoughts. I will keep an eye on Hosking when we play him on Sunday to watch how he goes.

My game focus is head to head even though I am not doing well on that front. I am not losing each encounter in a thrashing. Instead I am about 100 points each week off the pace. If I score 850 they get 950. If i get 900 they get 1000. I am keeping my opponent honest and just need to pull in about three more consistent 50 point scorers into my team to replace some of my weaker inconsistent players and I can pull back some ground in the head to head. I am on track to make our second 8 rather than the top 8. (I hope you have this turned on @Dantheman ) and will see if I can replicated your 9th placed finish of last year.
My major outcome is what you say and that is learning. I want to drive my ship and make my own calls so I can either get my hand burned on the stove and learn a valuable lesson or learn from succeeding because I already thinking about building for next years comp and being better in it than this year. Playing the long game.
