And as we slide down the banister that is life, make sure the splinters are facing the right way…There's no calendar when you're retired mate, time is measured by the hour glass, sometimes half full, often half empty

To think we could have been watching a league game now instead of this shit if it wasn't for those pesky interfering women in league #FrankWhiteThings #FemaleSolipsistsAnd as we slide down the banister that is life, make sure the splinters are facing the right way…
I'm not wrong thoughWhat if the whole basis of your world view was wrong?
What if house prices haven’t risen under this govt?
What if the sharemarket hasn’t risen under this govt? (The above means businesses aren’t making any money).
What if there are record business closures under this govt.
It’s a myth the rich are getting rich under this govt. How’s can the rich get rich when property, shares and businesses are all being smashed?
You think this govt is for the rich, despite every economic indicator pointing to the opposite?
Consider if your internal biases allow you to see the real picture, because you are at odds with all the data…
Inequality - I’m picking the top 1% have lost more wealth than the other 99% combined!
Check mateI'm not wrong though![]()
I may have a different world view but I love your one eyed passion mate!I'm not wrong though![]()

Please put a direct citation for your first sentenceAfter the Greens just proposed hammering nurses with extra tax, I believe there are 2 different high income earners:
1 - those that due to scarcity of supply (lack of competition) can charge a high hourly rate/ salary while working 40 hours.
2 - those that are less skilled but earn highly due to significantly longer hours, night shifts, dangerous work, etc.
Number 1 should be taxed higher than number 2 if they earn the exact same wages. More hours, wear and tear on the body, extra costs (paying someone to mow your lawns and clean your house because you have less time to do it, etc), less leisure time/ time to recover, etc shouldn’t be taxed as much as a 40 hour highly paid worker. Looking at it another way, your hours available not working is significantly less (quality of life) which should be compensated for.
This is the nurse issue. But how do you fix this discrepancy?
And then while we’re at it, we should be able to income share between a couple in a family for tax.
‘The Green Party’s alternative Budget, announced this week, included such hefty increases to income tax that it would reduce the after-tax income of the average registered nurse.’Please put a direct citation for your first sentence
it’s been a while.‘The Green Party’s alternative Budget, announced this week, included such hefty increases to income tax that it would reduce the after-tax income of the average registered nurse.’
National - not increasing nurses pay with pay equity but at least not DECREASING it like the Greens proposal…

An average registered nurse's pay will fall under Greens' tax plan
Plans come at an unfortunate time, with the Opposition protesting pay equity changes.www.nzherald.co.nz

he might have run out of data.
We might have fried his server, must have been a Temu one like this one, it's all we can affordOr short circuited

You could say that about any taxation.Doesn’t cut it.
Explain WHY the govt is entitled to tax paid wealth/ inheritance of individuals?
I accept tax is paid as economic activity is generated to pay for the roads, schools, infrastructure, etc that has allowed us to earn the income. That’s the social contract.
Taking wealth or inheritance has no justification based on the ‘why’ except easy, unearned (based on the social contract) money.
That’s how the mafia operate… explain the difference.
If you want a "fair" system, that being one that distributes the wealth and services then isn't an inheritance tax better than paye? The person who worked hard to get it enjoys the spill of their labour then they die and it helps society.Doesn’t cut it.

If the wealthy and corporates paid their fair share of taxes instead of hiding income in trusts foreign accounts etc. we wouldn't be discussing this issueYou could say that about any taxation.

Not saying I want that but can't see how one needs more justification than the other, just a different way of managing tax income and society
Because that money has already been taxed multiple time to help society. Show me a way to accumulate say $10million legally and then pass it on to your children WITHOUT paying 20-30% tax along the way.You could say that about any taxation.

Watched a good documentary yesterday called bully coward victim about Roy Cohn. Was fascinating the amount of things he brought that he just didn’t believe he needed to pay for and never did because of his importance and how nobody ever really did much because of his power and the people he was affiliated with. Even looked like a truly evil bastard. The world really is just a playground for the wealthyBecause that money has already been taxed multiple time to help society.
