Team List Dolphins vs Warriors - [Round 11, 2025]

stronger team than last week. good to see JFH back on deck. Huge for us!

I expect RTS will slot into left Centre this week alongside TT if he gets through the week well. Capewell back to right edge and Marata to start from the bench taking the Ford middle role. Healy will play as Wayde could play 13 in the event of a back injury.

All in all , very good team. Assuming we are not travel fatigued we are a good chance of beating these guys. Dolphins are very hot and cold - get them in the grind and they’ll struggle.

Onwards.

So looking at the trends of the last few games where we end up gasping for air and doing 10 more sets tackling than the opposition.

Why do you guys think we don't kick the ball out instead of kicking it long but keeping it in play?

I thought the same in the '23 preliminary final when we tried to sprint against the Broncos and ran out of everything juice.

If we're gassed from tackling why don't we grubber it across the sidelines and walk slowly to the scrum? Wouldn't it help?

Probably because it wouldn’t be a scrum. It’s now a play the ball to bring the ball back into play quicker and continue play, so there’s no real advantage anymore of doing so.

Oh thanks for that. Didn't realise. But does the play the ball happen once lines are set or is it as soon as you get the ball back from the sideline assistant?

There'll 100% be change to the team before kick-off - though I think most likely is the TT to FB, CNK to Centre, RTS to wing ... I just can't see Webby putting RTS into centre in a first game back you know?... It's probably why MGT is in the squad as a contingency if RTS doesn't pass fitness

It takes about 20 seconds after the ball goes out for the ref to blow his whistle and authorise a tap restart in the middle of the field. So you get a very brief break.

If you do aim for the side line you get less distance on your kick due to the way the angles work than whacking it really hard to their full back.

Yeah I know how to kick just didn't notice in all the games I watched that the rule had modernised because you couldn't fit an ad in that down time
