What other teams that finished top 4 the previous - would have the commentators going on and on about the other team scoring 5 tries from 5 seats... just to take the game to golden point. Ridiculous
Brandy has a serious deep seeded issue with our club. It should be studied.

Perhaps it reminds him of that dark time in his life. I don’t know.

But his tone when talking about us - he was so reluctant to give us any praise.

When the Cowboys scored their 2nd try to cut the lead to 24 (LOL) he sounded so jubilant, couldn’t stop harping on about Holmes pass, like you said - was counting down the tries needed to simply draw the game with less than 15mins to go.

    Bro was gagging for it.

Who really cares though. They can have whatever agenda they won’t, only thing that matters is how we perform on the night.

Just made me laugh tbh 😂

    @Inruin what's funny?
Apart from TMM having a better tackle efficiency this year than SJ? Concerns that the top teams will target him? We have just played the Panthers, Dolphins and Cowboys and TMM has been very good defensively and a big work rate. I think you are off the mark with the defence call. I also think carrying TMM on the bench after the last three games showing how we should have our bench used is funny, but each to their own.

Webster said in the press conference that there would be a place in the team for all three of SJ, TMM and CHT - guaranteed.

He seemed positively surprised about what TMM can do, which means to me that we are going to see a much more equitable relationship between SJ and TMM going forward., that is super exciting because the opposition won't know what's coming at them compared to the predictability of the first half of the season. Remember too that SJ will have Niukore next door, which will be huge.

Webby also said how hard AFB has worked at being a team mate the last two weeks.

    Great stuff all around.

AFB looked like, for the first time in ages that he enjoyed being part of the team.

I’ve been one of Ford’s biggest critics but the motor he showed tonight was unbelievable.

But hats off to Mitch….Origin, the travel, birth of a child….. and he puts in a performance like that. Absolutely top shelf stuff!!!

Bloody stoked with that tonight. Same against next week please!!!

I think we're blessed with good quality halves atm, but talk of leaving SJ out is just nuts imo
Of course SJ will be straight back in. He wouldve carved playing off the back of that domination tonight.

The only question tho is how Webby willl adapt his role so his and Te Maires game complement each other rather than one dominate. SJ plays to structure, Te Maires a bit more eyes up.....that should be a lethal combination if they manage it right.

I have faith Webby will sort it. He's already shown he can adapt (Ford to the middle, Marata back out wide, Dylan starting over our captain)

We are so fucking due one over the Storm. Next week is it!

To me the big question we've had all season is why does our attack look so one dimensional.

My guess is that it could be SJ related. I'm only basing that off the last three games and so it still remains to be seen.

My counter question to you is; if SJ was out there tonight, would the team have had a field day?

To me, that's the only question that matters.

It's been debated to death the issues we were facing with many factors beyond just SJ.

Principally the attacking options were Ineffective - Ford and Capewell as lead runners wasn't good enough.

While TMM as halfback is an easy starting point for this three win streak, it starts with selection changes. AFB was playing wide against Panthers and we've gone back to Marata as well, also Barnett.

SJ not training was also a major issue, I definitely don't think he should play if he can't train.

And yes, if SJ is having a field day, the team is too - no question.

Easy A+ for me. Every single player played well. They looked cohesive and were trying different things on attack and were rewarded for it. We are playing far less predictably now and the difference is immense.

A lot of great players tonight so it's difficult to single out individuals but Jackson Ford at prop was a revelation. I think that's his spot now moving forward and Mitch is offering some punch at second row too. AFB was also superb coming back and has quashed any questions over his commitment.

Big game from the likes of CNK, Te Maire and DWZ too. Awesome stuff.

Very good win. Cowboys missing a few players and backing up from Origin but we did everything we needed to and more. Looked a little clunky at times but understandable with the number of changes.

A few things that concern me a little as we go up against genuine top teams like the Storm.

Better having Tohu off the bench but Walker is far superior in that 13 role. Tohu needs to be about 40 minutes playing time max.

With Capewell and Tohu on we looked a lot slower....

Lots to love though. 3 wins in a row and the bye. 8 points in 4 weeks and a positive points difference.

    Awesome game - awesome performances.

Work on's - TMM's 5th tackle kicks lacked depth, and when he mispositioned several close to the Cows try line that ended up being 7 tackle sets. He had a great all round performance, but he lacks SJ's precision kicking game. Pretty much the only times the Cowboys were able to break free from our pressure was after those occasions.

SJ easily walks back in, but TMM deserves his spot in the team - however they juggle the roles.

TMM has really stepped up since Johnson has been out.

He has been scheming quite well. It doesn't look as structured as it does with Johnson especially when we have formations. But it has been effective.

He's not involved with everything. But he is playing a lot on both sides which I like.

Let's hope when Johnson comes back we get a good balance between the left and the right. It would make us harder to defend against.
