Chanel has elevated his game to another level under Webby. He was absolutely killer tonight alongside Martin.
The last two weeks shows webby's versatility as a coach. He's been criticised alot the last few weeks for the gameplan and bench selection when the results weren't forthcoming. He has clearly taken the criticism on board and addressed the shortcomings. The last two games we've seen so much added variety to the attack away from the one-dimensional play we were seeing only a short few weeks ago. That's the sign of a good coach.
I couldn't help but notice that in the lead up to the break, the first person webby was seen talking to was Kosi. He put his arm around him and probably was letting him know not to worry about the mistake he made leading up to the first try. He's definitely not first grade standard, but he certainly had a crack after that first error. That's all you could ask for from him.

Was going to quote a post i made in the game day thread but tbh that just comes across as a bit of ego stroking,
Thought the turning point in that game came after the Hammer try. Felt like the Phins thought they had it wrapped up and we we're going to fold for them......they run it on the last from halfway (with that forward pass to Kodi) when they shouldve just put it in the corner.
Was clear then these guys wanted the easy win and weren't prepared to grind it out. Meanwhile our confidence grew in the grind and some of that defence to end the game was bloody mighty,

I thought Moala Graham-Taufa was exceptional!! Tbh I wasn’t expecting what he done I thought he’d get gassed and miss a million tackles on Herbie but fuck! He was awesome!!!
That tackle he made in goal it was only him there!! I never seen him go backwards while taking a hit up. Gonna be against the Berry fan boys but I’m on the MGT train now!

I really hope we don't go back to SJ bombs with Berry chases as soon as the cattle return. This team has so much more to offer than that.
Oh, and shout out to Kosi for being pretty solid after a poor first 20 minutes. Needs to be said. It could have fallen apart.

I also thought Marcelo deserves a honourable mention he was great with those high balls and packed some Mana and punch tonight.
MGT was better than all our noobs in the Webster era, he was incredible and did not even show his hand with his attack on the try line which will open a few eyes around here.
Moala is a guy I love because no one was talking him up, Zyon, Ali, Dimitric, Ale, Halasima got all the hype....while Moala was boiling away quietly in cup like a Brian To'o thick body threat on the three quarter line.
The exciting thing is this is the most No names we have ever seen debut in this clubs history and prove themselves NRL ready.
The insane thing is there are more....like Tupounia and Fatialofa...so many others you could name that do not get a mention in this forums threads.

Don’t know if I want to see Harris back, all respect to him but these boys are doing a job and we still have our 2 most promising young fords in cup.

Yeah it's crazy how solid Pompey has been. Hasn't let us down this year (or last) and kicks goals well. Pompey centre with RTS wing maybe?
Good work from Pompey with his goal kicking. Isaako is a pretty good kicker as well but a few of there tries were on the side line.

I hope they don't just drop him when RTS is available. It should be debated. He is dependable on defence and if Johnson isn't kicking we have a goal kicker.
