How many times did tmm give away 7 tackle sets? His first attacking kick was uncontested straight into in goal and caught on the full. Those mistakes will kill us
He also scored a try & set up 2 more. Smashed a couple of blokes in the tackle. Thats after only playing 1 cup game on his return from injury.

I have watch the replay tonight after watching the game last night whilst on many beers.

Ali had a fine game and is consistently performing over the past few weeks. He is dangerous on attack and defending superbly now.

I can't see how Charnze gets his spot back if Taine keeps playing like that.

We left quite a few tries out there, and could easily have had another three at least. Two dud passes from CHT and a drop by Lofi. Despite this we still put 42 points on the board and we would have had more if we kept going, the Broncos were fucked. Our forward pack chewed them up and spat them out.

Our defence in the second half was excellent. Their two tries has questionable forward passes in them but we neve looked like losing. We scored when we were a man up and two tries when we were a man down. Very professional and ruthless.

As others have mentioned our combination of superior fitness and tight discipline is reaping rewards in conjunction with our simple game plan. I think that is why Tanah was doing so well as he organised us around this game plan and kept us on it. Hopefully our next half does as good a job.

I thought TMM was superb coming off the bench and with limited gametime this year. I was particularly impressed with his defence, he was folding kents.

I thought Ford was more effective than Barnett on attack as we should cope well with only Barnett and Capewah going to Origin. Egan is key and he was also superb. Having Healy to run through a tired opposition middle is super dangerous and he complements Egan's stint well.

The Dragons were fighting until the end against the Panthers so we will need to play equally well to beat them. I think JFH will demand we keep our standards high and we should have too much class for them. Our young fellas continue to grow and impress. Leka was dangerous and isn't far off a star turn I think. The combination with Tanah was still a work in progress so I hope we can gets some good reps in with TMM (my preference) or LM if he can be rehabilitated effectively back into the team.

Overall, we are a credit to the league when we can bring some amazing fans and spending power to Brisbane and put the Premiers to the sword on their home turf. This year we are already making history and smashing hoodoos. I can't wait for the next game.

My worry with TMM isn’t just his Now that teams know it’s TMM they will change their defensive game plan to neutralise him. He was neutralised last year after a strong start.
He played almost exclusively off the bench last year. Only go with the #7 was in torrential rain.
In 2024 when he had an extended run, his last game there saw him score a try, dish up 3 try assists & gain 160m. Doesn't look like he was neutralized based off those numbers

Bit off an update on how we’re going compared to previous seasons. This time last year, we were also in second place on the ladder after round 11…. with a points diff of 5…. this season we’re 138. Last season, we’d scored 205 but conceded 200….. this season, we’ve scored 320 and conceded 182.

The best comparative year for points diff (although we were fourth on the ladder) is 2002 when, at the end of Round 11, we had a points diff of 146 (316 for and 170 against).

Not too bad to be compared to that side!!!

Just to put to bed the talk around how Boyd was walking post game. ACL injuries don't mean you cannot walk. You can even walk around looking fine without a limp. In the non-athlete population they are often repaired weeks/months after the actual injury.

The contact-less nature of the injury, tests being done on field and shots of Boyd with his parents in the dressing room all point to this 100% being an ACL.

Does it say less about Boyd’s form that TMM can come in from the cold and seamlessly lead the team around to a dominant victory? Pairing well with CHT of course
    No.

Te Maire was brilliant which is kind of the point with the seamless transition between him and Boyd.

We were dominating the opening thanks to Tanah's kicking, then we dropped off a lot with our kicking game but managed a work around through shorter kicking.

That shorter kicking game is going to burn your forwards out over a season. It just does, more running miles and more desperation tackling in your half.

Our pack is amazing but come finals time the line speed will go up to maximum and we will learn just like the Tongan National team that having the strongest forward pack does not make you consistently better than teams with better field kickers.

No matter how good your forwards you cannot run over the top of a finals level high line speed do or die opponent.

Tonight the Metcalf vs Boyd pandemic was meant to be at an end.

But no just when I thought I was Metcalf'ed out.....along comes the Martin vs Metcalf strain which is ten times more virulent than the old strain.

Metcalf is in a really precarious position here, if he comes in for Te Maire and stinks it up he will get crucified. It may well be best if he does do that spell in cup first for his sakes, not ours, so he has a fair platform to come in from, and that NSW cup backline with him and Cleary and Linane (potentially even one of Charnze or Taine) would be insane watching (make it happen jesus).

Heart says pick Te Maire, but head say's I am glad I am not Andrew Webster coz this ain't about feelings it is about winning.

Honestly I would like to see all three, TMM CHT and Metcalf on that roster with maybe Luke off the bench, but that doesn't work because he needs minutes.

Thing is though, I do not think Webster sees Te Maire as anything more than a depth player and we have a lot of evidence for that, and I often have wondered why. I presume it either relates to his eyes up do my own thing style of play (talking at six here) and or his off field life style where he puts his career at risk going pig hunting when the team are supposed to be resting between trainings.

Epic Tuesday coming up eh people.

And if the Warriors have extended Tanah Boyd they better bloody officially announce it because our man was crying in the tunnel and We are better than that, screw Lukes feelings bloody give Tanah the call to honor, sound the Trumpets.

Khan looked sad post match lol, hopefully that kosi style shocker is out of the way for the season
    I thought he was brilliant.

Ran hard, tackled hard and those attempted intercepts that he does are brilliant, such a nice change from seeing those balls stick and teams do the length against us.

He looked disappointed yeah, but that is good, he wants this, he wants to win. Beating the Broncos and Storm are new for him.

Maybe unpopular opinion but I want TMM not Metcalf. I don't think it is right that a guy who wanted to have a sook walks straight into a top 2 team without wanting to earn that right. Like Boyd, TMM is a team player. He knows he is second fiddle now to whoever (Boyd, mets and CHT) but he's happy to play that role and come and do a job gladly. Probably because TMM is closer to the end, but at this moment we just need a solid game managing 7, not an X factor as the Aussies seem to always emphasize. That is TMM, not Mets.
