With respect, neither has Metcalf.

I think we should have a thread here where we sell warriors merch to each other and know it's going to a good home.My 3 year old absolutely loves his cheap Warriors T Shirt. I've been trying to find a second hand jersey for him, because I don't want to do what you said and spend $100 new for a shirt that will last 1 year. But his cheap T Shirt, he is so proud of it and always asks when we are playing. It's a cool way to get the young ones into it easily.
I absolutely love the affordable range at Postie Plus and I see so many fans wearing them at games. Personally I wouldn't be caught dead wearing any of it but its great to have merch at low prices so everyone can wear something. Not everyone can or wants to spend $160 on a jersey or $350 on a jacket. It also seems to have put a huge dent in knock offs...
No, the best thing for Rugby League is the Warriors winning the Grand Final this year and the Kiwis winning the World Cup.The best thing for Rugby league woulkd be if Metcalf ended up at the Perth Bears for 2027. They could gaurantee him the 7 position and give then one decent marque player.
However , if he stays here ... all good.
I think its fair game for his management to seek clarity on his future. Thats what his management should absolutely do, as he was signed on a marquee contract extension and was placed on bench and not played.Because the guy who was supposed to be our long term 7 is not being picked as our 7 and is questioning why.
Also, the club might not have a choice.
This years form aside, what role do you see him playing this year?
Agreed. Best way to read these endless posts about Metcalf V Boyd.Inadvertently shows what a great job THC has done the last two seasons..
Asking for a conversation should be kept in house though. Somebodies leaking.I have no problem with Metcalf getting his management to talk to the club. His dream is to be an Nrl 7. He can feel that dream slipping away, so he gets an honest conversation going.
There are two themes to the response in this forum and on social media:
1. He's got a bloody cheek making noises about moving on to another club.
2. Who needs him?! Boyd and CHT are our guys.
If we don't need him then we should be giving him our blessings to start to look around. Letting him go would be a sizeable gamble, but not an unreasonable one, given his injury history and the log jam of halves we have.
If one half was to leave I would rank their departure from most gutting to least gutting: CHT, Boyd, Metcalf.
He said he prefers playing 7 & enjoys having the ball in his hands more often. CNK stated he was solely a Fullback when RTS joined the club. Blokes are allowed a preference2 Months ago when having his first game back, he went on radio and said he wants to be 7.
This ain't no fiction.
This is my opinion on Boyd and whether or not he can go up a level. I feel that Boyd is the sort of player that when the team is playing shit, he will look shit! As he struggles to drive a struggling team around the field, he wont be able to pull off any magic. But if the team is gelling and playing well, he will continue to get into a groove. Like the NSW cup finals, he was man of the match for consecutive games. The better the team goes, the better he will go. I would bet that is the team is rolling, he would be hitting 40/20s and pulling rabbits out of his ass!
Imagine if all our players played the club with this proffesionalism. It's not poor form.
It's called professionalism.
