That 2nd half defence reminded me of the Villa the gorilla, Guttenbeil bash brother days. 
Imo hes fast becoming one of the best 6s in the comp. Value wise, hes been unreal. He'd be on a modest contract, but hes been amazing at being a great 2nd ball playing option, doesn't over play his hand, is great defensively, with his decision making improving significantly the last 12 months or so.
Imo thats what you need to win a comp. A couple of those mid range players having a career year and playing above their pay packet. We got that with Chanel in 2025, and it looks like were getting it in 2026 too

As good as the 38 points were, the defence for the last 60 minutes was epic. Great scramble, no panic, good reads., great hits.

Leka, you need to just focus on the basics and the x factor is the cream on the top.
CHT has to be 6 and the current chemistry that is there with Boyd has to stay I think. I think Metcalf is a bit of the odd man out now.

The difference tonight and the first 3 rounds versus the last two is quite stark. Really good response by the team and against a team we really have been smashed against historically - although this Storm team is a shadow of previous ones.

People giving boyd his roses already, which is all well and good because he did play well today. But my god, CHT truely is our six above all else. Defense rock. Anytime our defense looked shakey he was there. Right, left, middle. Everywhere. When they are putting preasure on hard, he is putting on the big hits. Strong left boot. Good for a run. Can do a soft ball under or short. Prefection.

I think the players have really forced Webby's hand a wee bit here.
