Dont even need to go back a decade. Remember when Walsh was here and how he was surprised noone else in the team watched any NRL games?

One thing I love about Luke being here is that is he is an out and out footy head, he lives and breathes the game - it’s an important thing to have in the squad. Going back a decade I would be surprised if half the squad even watched other NRL games.
He gives 3 sentances to his family loving NZ and how the coaching staff supports that. And then the final 1 min is just "I want to win it all here, i'm gonna do anything to win it all here".
Brought tears to my eyes. Massive endorsement for Webster and Metcalf’s Mrs. Genuinely thought he was gone

They were also reporting he was off to the dragons on a 4 year deal, Aussie media don’t have a clue. regardless, 8-900k was the ballpark anyway, so makes sense.

HUGE! We got our guy, congrats to Metcalf on a well deserved upgrade & extension, and congrats to the warriors for keeping an in demand Australian playmaker. This has been our biggest issue in the past, the club is on the rise
