Energy, effort and attitude was there tonight. That’s all I wanted from our team.

I wasn’t confident we’d win. But even after the loss, I’m still sad. I love this team man. I want to see us win it all.

I can’t wait for that day. But it won’t be in 2025.

But we over achieved this year. We were in the top 4 for the majority of it. Injuries ruined what was becoming a special run. Our depth was tested. We’re not ready to compete at the top just yet. And that’s all good.

But as long as this club keeps moving towards the end goal - to build a consistent sustainable club that develops talent through our family-first culture that ultimately cultivates winners on and off the pitch - we will see that success sooner than later.

Played like shit the last month or so, still good enough for a home final and we could’ve still beat the reigning premiers if things went our way today.

If anything, through the anger and sadness - im proud.

    UP THE FUCKIN’ WAHS ❤️💚💙

    Honestly I am pretty happy.

I guess realizing that watching the Warriors with your kids in a final is making memories as a family, certainly takes all the sting out of losing.

We really stood up tonight. So proud of them.

How many times did we make them die with the ball on the last in our red Zone???

    Kamau te wehi.

good season boys. Proud of every one of them. Never gave up against the 4 time premiers.

No matter what people say here, we really did overachieve this year. It would have been nice to have one last hurrah tonight. Nothing would have been sweeter than proving the Aussie dicks on fox wrong tonight. But it wasn't to be. Those last 2 penrith tries were lucky a.f. Those two balls being knocked back by the Penrith players. Bounce of the ball goes the other way and it could have been a different story. Just wasn't our night tonight.

But luck aside, the cold hard truth is we aren't good enough to win this comp yet. Penrith clearly still are. But I believe we'll get there in a few years. We are a club on the up under Webby and we will be back stronger and better next year.

    Up the wahs!

    Penrith too good,

Boys were up for this, a blind man should see that.

Just couldnt convert and when it was time to play catch up footy, thats just not our go.

The injuries meant we limped into the finals really, Maybe some philisophical changes needed next year to how we play.

Disappointing way to go out but overall id have to say a solid season and a pass mark for Webby and the boys,

I thought we played about as well as we could with the team we had. Couple of things go differently who knows what the result would’ve been.
    Final few thoughts;
Dallin can’t play FG next year.
    Metcalf is our guy.
Barnett is our forward leader on the field. Perfect foil for JFH.
Healey needs to be in the team with 30-40 minutes per week.
Niukore can move to an off field role or water boy. Don’t care, just no more on field action please.
Pompey can go be a solid centre for another club.

I think with a full strength team, juniors moving up and a couple of recruits we go much deeper next year.

I hardly ever dream. But last night, I had one about our wahs. I've been pretty nonchalant all week. Feeling like this was all a waste of time. And we would get our asses handed to us.

I won't disclose what happened in my dream. But I believe our boys will be up for this. I have butterflies in the old puku. And I am hyped. I haven't felt like this for a while. Way different emotions today compared to the past week.

I don't believe that(In my wife's words) dreams are a window to future events. Cos none of my wet dreams have ever come true.

But I feel so confident, That I went out and done something I haven't done in 10 years.

    I brought a new Jersey.

Win or lose, This is our team folks.

    Up the mighty Waaaahs!! 20250913_104800.webp

Despite being a pretty successful season (probably overachieved tbf) it just hasn't captured the imagination like previous top 8 years but that could all change tonight- we've got a chance to make history here and end a dynasty and... against our big brother of sorts.
I'm farkin pumped- no one expects us to win- its a free shot at the stumps really.
I'm not normally one for bold predictions but I just have a feeling webby and jfh are gonna have the boys primed for this one- we're gonna win it fam- mark my farkin words 👊

    Five stage Plan guys.

Stage 1, Doggies get done by the Storm (tick), Stage 2 we beat I Cleary, Stage 3 we beat C Ciraldo/Gould confirming we got the best out of the Coaching deal, stage 4 we beat C Bellamy in a Wah's Storm pre-lim finals classic again and pound the so called hoo-doo, Stage 5, we beat Sticky in a famous revenge game for Vegas.

    Season completed. Tick 💪

I believe we take on the Raiders in the GF qualifier before ending the 17 year losing streak against the Storm in the GF 😂

Titans fan chipping in here… I’m going to be biased because Lofi is probably my least favourite Titan ever since following this side since 2007, and thats saying something considering all of the geeks that have worn that jersey lol.

But I think Lofi would just be a better fit for you guys than us overall, whatever combination of Pompey/Leiataua/Berry (when he isnt in hospital) are fine centres next to Lofi. Plus, you guys need speed big time.

He can genuinely sniff out a try with little space, but frankly other than that he suuuucks on defense, both in contact and reading shape (may be more of a Brian Kelly problem granted), is actually a really bad decision maker with ball in hand and with one player infront of him. He actually botched a few easy 4 pointers because he decided to boot the ball dead or threw a BS pass. He’s also poor in yardage and will likely never be much better than he is, considering his body shape. Was absolutely attrocious under the high ball for a large period of his career aswell.

Definitely hope for you guys he is at least neutral on defence and yardage, and he’s a worthwhile asset for you to take a swing on no doubt, but as of right now he’s just a Special Teams guy who does one thing (at an elite level for sure)very well, and would round out to be at best slightly below average everywhere else.

Fine enough move though for you overall, I can certainly see the excitement for you guys when you take a look at tries scored etc, and Webster is one hell of a coach and I’m sure he’ll do his best with him!.
With that being said pls trade Leiataua or something for him, pls?
