If we do sign the Khan it will mark a new age of risk taking by this administration that is for sure.

I am coming around to the idea. I don't like it, the club doesn't need a dickhead in the mix, but I am coming around to the idea.

I do not believe in Websters mythical power to change a leopards spots, rather I hope he can just get this guy to do the job well and earn his keep.

We will have potentially the fastest guy in the NRL plus a Young basketballer to kick to, plus there is the tall timber in the forwards that like leaping for bombs on the try line.

Throw in Gannon shift the ball on an edge and the team starts to look quite different, especially if they find a way to have Healy as a bench player in that mix.

And if the young centers make it onto the park for a season the Warriors will really look a completely different attacking side.

Im starting to get pumped, less than 24 hours to go
    The count down is on!

I know our backs are against the wall, but that seems to be the when we play our best.

    • Weve won 3/4 at Mt Smart for finals games.
    • It's Egans 150th

Penny to get an early lead, will be up 12-4 at half time.
We score first in the 2nd stanza but the joy is short lives as Penny score quickly to make it 18-10 with 25 to go.
Healey comes on off the bench and causes havoc, with Demi crashing over for one close to the posts. Healey making loads of meters around the ruck, 10 minutes to go and Tannah shapes like he's passing to Leka on the angle back in, but passes out the back to Charnz, who puts Dal in the corner. Boyd misses the kick.
We then have the worst 10 minutes wait if our lives, we get a few shit calls against us, a captains challenge that should be successful goes against us. Cleary goes for 2 2 pt field goals and doesnt get close. Wahs win by 2, Fish with 225 running meters and a shit load of tackles, MoM

    Dare to dream fellas!

If it has got to the stage where the Titans are officially letting us talk to him it probably means we are are going to make him an offer.

He has pace and that is what we need. And he isn't going to be any worse than DWZ on defence. Hopefully we can get his defence and attitude right if we sign him. I haven't watched enough of him to make a firm judgement but if it's between him and DWZ, I am all for AKP! We need pace and some flair in the backline. He is only 23 as well. Plenty
53 tries in 54 games…say no more. Defence can be taught, especially when the Titans’ back five make turnstiles look solid. This bloke’s got wheels — DWZ’s replacement sorted. Kali and the Bunnies kids can punch on for RTS’ spot, and Norris can warm up in NSW Cup before being unleashed in 2027.

As for NAS — sign him up if the Storm chip in $300k and we top it up with $300 k plus incentives. If he rocks up with the same Mt Smart form he always smashes us with, it’s daylight robbery. And hey, Barney and Walker weren’t exactly choirboys before they landed either.

He seemed better when he was paired with Metcalf. Be interesting to see his stats with Metcalf vs with Boyd.
But then everyone was going better then with less injuries

I went and found CHT's stats and averaged them out per game (with the totals in brackets).
Looks pretty consistent regardless of the halfback, other than the kicking metres.

    Rts>Kali the rest.
AKP can’t tackle, can’t catch, doesn’t have yardage carries, Shit attitude.
He benefited from a side who played attacking, expansive footy. Legit only has pace nothing else. Fat no

If the Warriors could land NAS on the cheap, I think it’d be a solid pickup. Sure, his discipline can be a problem at times, but his size and presence in the middle can’t be ignored.
That said, I don’t think another big body is what we’re crying out for right now.
As you all know, what this team really needs are wingers with genuine speed and flair, guys who can create something out of nothing and finish off the hard work the forwards are already putting in.
And probabaly a centre who doesn't get injuired.

The Gannon glaze is too much! Where TF is the proof he is ahead of anyone? His highlights are alright. Doesn't make your pringle tingle.

The rest is word of mouth, In a comp that would sit 2nd to NSW Cup.
The proof is we went outside our own stellar nursery and outside the NRL to sign someone in a position we are stacked in.

I think that if you look at the ESL objectively, it is a competition which can only foster between two and four really good team rosters a season. So rather than being wholesale weaker than the NSW cup as a competition, it is instead grossly inconsistent with the gap between its best and its worst.

The ESL have beaten the NRL champions more times than the Aussies have won the end of season clashes.

There are various excuses made for why the Aussies lose, but you cannot say that the ESL is a lesser competition to the NSW cup. If this were a challenge between the winning NSW cup sides and the NRL champs, no amount of excuses would account for the results were the NRL to trail that comp.

Lastly Gannon has just made the England side at aged 21 which just reinforces that the Warriors have backed the right horse in the eyes of more than just the Warriors recruitment.

The worry for mine now is losing him. He’s killed it every team he’s came in. Was our best last week and gets dropped for old man, slow motion Egan
Healey was coming off the bench for Jets in NSW cup for 40 mins a game last year. He's doubled his game time this year by coming to us playing 80 mins every week and has played in first grade as well which was highly unlikely for the Sharks, plus he's learning a lot from Egan. I don't get the HeAlEy WiLl LeAvE uS comments. Based on the interviews I've seen from him he's happy with the decision he made to come over.

    Thank fook Webster saw sense.

No team we roll out is likely to win.

What kind of club would this be if the guys who ground their way loyally to get us into this game were dropped for it on the whimsical notions of fans who don't have to pick up the pieces next season and convince the whole playing roster that if you do as you are asked you will be the ones rewarded.

I know, we would have the same fooked Warriors that fires coaches for losing the dressing room.

Good luck and congratulations to the chosen.

    We are gonna lose.

    Do it with pride.

Some stats varying from useless to mildly interesting..

    • The Warriors have played more finals against the Panthers than they have against any other team.

    • This will be the Warriors' third consecutive finals series playing the Panthers in Week One.

    • As of this weekend, the only teams to have played the Panthers more in the finals during their dynasty period than the Warriors are the Rabbitohs, Storm, and Eels

    • The Warriors are 0W-3L in the finals against the Panthers, with a PD of -39, and an average score of 29 - 12.6

    • The Warriors are 3W-1L in finals played at Mount Smart Stadium, with a PD of +51, and an average score of 29 - 13.7

    • The Panthers are 3W-5L in finals played outside of Sydney, with a PD of -53, and an average score of 17.6 - 11

    • The Panthers are 3W-1L in finals played outside of Sydney during their dynasty period, with a PD of +2, and an average score of 10.5 - 10

    • The Warriors have made a preliminary final every season they have finished 6th.

    • Both the Panthers and the Warriors are undefeated on the 13th of September

    • A left winger and a hooker have scored in every finals match between the Warriors and Panthers

    • The Warriors' last 5 finals games have been decided by 13+ margins

Think an experienced outside back could be handy because I’d hate anyone to block Leiataua, surely he’s not far away? Them putting him on the left before he he disappeared would indicate he will potentially replace Pompey at some point, be I really thought he looked so much better on the right in the early stages of the season. They’re being patient with Metcalf and his injuries so perhaps they do the same with Berry and look for a good depth centre and try ride out his unlucky run?
It’s been mentioned a few times..

But Berry needs to start training at fullback and wear the number 1 jersey for us next year

I think everyone can agree that neither CNK or TT is the answer next year (although probably the best with what’s available). I can’t imagine a team winning the GF with either CNK or TT at the back..

We are a better team when we have Berry’s ball playing and his kick pressure. He’s great under the high ball.

It would also reduce the workload, traffic and collisions he has put his body through which reduces chance of injury.

Seen a lot of sentiment of the Warriors making up the numbers, us overachieving… stuff all that noise

We are here, we earned our spot and I don’t give a flying frog who we’re facing; I’m getting on sloshed on Fritz Wieners, Lion Red, V energy (FULL SUGAR!!) and I’m going to cheer the house down. Win or lose, I loved the ride. LESSSSGGGGOOOOOOOOOO
