Healy is signed for 2 years beyond this. No need to send him a 5 year deal after a good 20 minute debut off the bench. Egan has 4 more NRL seasons left in him at least, if Healy can somehow take his spot then he might be keen to stay, but if he can't and shows he is NRL level, he won't sit around being a back up if he is better than that. Being a bigger body maybe we could look to play him as a ball playing lock or something, pretty common these days.

Metcalf is a different one perhaps, his management won't be looking at signing anything until he can get his value sky rocketing. The club clearly believe in the guy, so I don't think the club will be sitting on the heals in terms of locking him in further.

Man we need DWZ an Rog back. Our Centers a wings were going nowhere. Tuapiki is too small a Big Kosi plays abit soft. Berry gets rag dolled way too easy
In always astounded at how people view the games so differently.

Pompey is in career best form & demands a starting position.

Tuaupiki has been a revelation playing out of position. Solid defensively & consistently getting post contact metres & is a threat with ball in hand.

Kosi is in career best form too, I’m not the biggest fan but he’s had next to no errors, huge running meters and has been extremely serviceable for our FIFTH choice winger. To be honest I think he’s probably earned himself another contract at this rate, which is something I didn’t think would ever come out of my mouth

Berry has been a rock defensively & it showed the moment he went off we leaked 3 tries in 7min down his edge. Hes returned from a long injury lay off, and if he’s at full health is our best centre, alongside Leiataua.

Being reported that kosi has broken his collarbone.
Fuck me... He never even subbed off. He played on with a broken collarone. Munro went directly off early on this year (or maybe it was last year) when that happened. We 100% lose that game if he goes off via injury. Not because his defense is the best, but a reshuffle to cover the wing after the battering we were getting would leave so many gaps. That truely needs to be commended.

Being reported that kosi has broken his collarbone.

Kosi has never been a favourite of mine, but jeeze he's stood up when we've really needed him this year.

I think he has played almost perfectly for us. In the wet against Roosters he ran for 200m, hes scored a few tries in the next two. No missed tackles in all 3 games.

I think we as fans need to move on from some of the stinkers he's played, these 3 games he's been great. On top of that, he went really well a few years ago when he ended up hurting his knee, I remember he went on a bit of a run and was quite consistent for a lot 8 games or so.

Hearing that he may have broken his collar bone...absolutely nuts. The bloke bleeds for us, let's give him our support.

Great game between 2 excellent teams. The skill level was off the chart considering the cobditions.

I have to say some posters are pissing me off. Ed Kosi is limited, he is 4th or 5th string but when he plays he gives his all and has been effective. I say support the team whoever is playing abd give credit where it is due.

Somebody said Berrys hamstring is a bkessing in disguise. Fuck you, how can you be happy with a player being injured. Particularly one of our players. He was goung OK and him injured stressed the right edge defence.

Celebrate the team, no matter the personnel.

I'm finding the culture of the club really encouraging at the moment, which I hope is going to rub off on recruitment.

It is hard to get Aussies over here, but the current crop have totally embraced the club, and you can tell that they are buzzing off it. The dog eat dog culture of Aussie to the supportive team/fandom culture of NZ, which we have seen elevate our country above the sum of it parts in many sports.

You would have to be looking at the Warriors as somewhere that is going places if you were on the market for a club. I really, really hope we make the right moves in the next 6 months.

Hopefully Cappy is at Magic Round and he, Webster and Robinson are networking.

How good has SJ been on the PR front, is he coaching juniors at all? He’s more a Warriors ambassador on Fox panel doing analysis than a neutral commentator, suits his personality so well, will probably have an equally successful media career.

His energy and the way we embrace him will probably help the recruitment perception too, along with what Clark etc said. And Webby is giving Metcalf, Healey, even a returning CHT a real go and later Jye Ginnane (double busted ACL)

At the end I think one of the buys of the century is still Webby

In the second half i had Taine & Capewah on my side of ther field. I could hear Capewah organising the defense, Telling Taine to stay and calling Marata to slide. Marata would hold, Then slide as quick as he could (Which was slow lol) Taine didn't hold, He shot out everytime to try cut the ball off. Capewah would then try to cover. And eventually Marata hauled his big over to make a good cover tackle.

What got me is how slow Charnze was when these set plays towards Capewah & Taine were being made. Either , He was on the other side of the feild or casually making his way over to cover.
I noticed our young bull Leka got shifted over capes & taines side the last quarter of the game? That's how much faith the coaches have in Leka's ability at such a young age to try and shore up the defense on that side.
That kid is something special. Every other nrl fan forum i go on they all ask if they can poach him!? Lol.

Mets Has arrived. I have doubted that kid. No more! Incredible on attack & defense. Please let someone else take the goal kicks tho.

Having rewatched the second half, I really didn't appreciate how much damage the Berry injury made not only to our edge defense but also our forward rotation. Shifting Capes to the centers, at one pt both Egan and Healey were both on the field at the same time. So Healey must have been playing in the middle, which just shows how much strife we were in at that pt. Truly epic performance to hold out quite possibly the best attack in the comp.

Also, Capes was massive. Really picked up in form in the last 2 weeks. Really aggressive in defense and on attack ran some amazing lines for the first try. Everyone in the pack is lifting in the absence of JFH.

Have to say, the Cowboys are a great attacking team and some of their tries were fantastic.

The first one where Drink water is hidden, before popping Nanai through a gap was fantastic. The Clifford chip to Derby was also a great try. Drinkwater was dangerous all night and looked like he was going to bring them home.

Even though we conceded 24 points, I think our defence was great, and we just kept turning up
