I think this is the game that we announce ourselves, and cement a top 4 spot.

If we put on a good showing and get the win today I think a lot of people are going to sit up and take notice.

3 of the next 4 game are against teams sitting 10 and lower, with a few of our top players coming back. On top of Origin. I don't want us to get too far ahead of ourselves but 6-2 would be a phenomenal result for the beginning of the year, considering everything we've had to overcome this year.

No Addin, No SJ. Tohu retiring before the start of the year, Walker being named to start one week, pulls out and signs with another team, on top of all the injuries we've had.

Probably the last week we can claim as an ambush, but year of the ambush babyyy

Defence wins championships, and only defence will beat the cowboys. Remove time and space from them and pin them in their 20. Maintain discipline and let them figure out plan b (which they aren’t great at doing)

All we need to build is the Wall of Wahs and not give them a sniff. We are good enough to take our opportunities when they come up and if we give them nothing we are a hot chance of winning this game.

To me this game is critical to cement ourselves in the top 3 and take another giant step towards finals footie.

Our big guns come back in a week or so and winning this will do wonders for our confidence for when JFH and DWZ likely come back next week.

The cows are a momentum team. Strangle them and cut off their air and they will soon run out of ideas. Titans had them last week before they imploded - and the cows were good enough to rub salt into the wound by racking up a cricket score in the second half (38 points?!)

The question is can we maintain the control and discipline we have showed? I hope so.

Match of the round but I reckon we get it done on the back of massive ‘home’ support.

Let’s hope we learned from the Vegas trip and don’t choke on the big stage again.

It just strikes me that the Webster era is hallmarked by having the best forwards in the NRL.

So take the equation of AFB, James Fisher Harris, Dylan Walker, Tohu Harris, Leka, Wade Egan, Erin Clark, Mitchell Barnett.

Then going to England to get their best kid in the forwards.

Honestly it seems obvious to me that under the Webster Mohawk regime that if you are not a star forward they will buy one from England or Australia. That is the bar for Demitric, Leka and Laban.

I dunno man, I think your logic is flawed. We haven't bought any star forwards from the UK.

Under Webster the forwards we've brought are Ford, Clark, Capewell, Gannon, and Fish. We were extremely lucky with the Fish signing and no way you can say that was Webby, that was a bit of luck that fell into our laps.

Barnett and Walker were brought before Webby. Barnett was pretty average before coming here too.

In fact, the majority of our forward pack have actually improved under Webby, and he's also let a few extremely promising forwards go, like Curran and Maiuu.

To say that he's specifically only buying top forwards really undermines what he's done so far.
He's promoted quite a few juniors, has brought a few journeyman/money ball signings and has turned them into machines.

Promising players like Laban, Demi, Leka, and Ali have all been giving a shot and seem to be going well, and let's not forget giving the keys to Metcalf. Huge call, and currently we sit in 4th....

I don't think Demitric is at any risk what so ever, unless he turns to shit in which case, laterz bol!

The forwards are where we are going to really excel under Webster, Zyon quickly became one noob too many, Dimitric is next.

Have you heard something by chance?

Feels like a bizarre statement to make when he's been earmarked as one of our future stars, has had a run in the last 3 years and would have been more if not for injuries.

Unless something significant happens, I can't see us letting him go anytime soon

    Yeah just look at Penrith.

Only the Roosters can keep everyone (been watching Kiwi Legend Kurt Sorenson talk about how he was handed a literal real life brown paper bag by the Roosters in a locked room with a bunch of other players - in other words the NRL has been turning a blind eye to their cheating way before Uncle Nick, they have bought off the NRL for forty years).

I can see a time where someone of the calibre of Dimitric gets released by the Warriors precisely because the forward pack is becoming too rich. The forwards are where we are going to really excel under Webster, Zyon quickly became one noob too many, Dimitric is next.
Demitric secured until 2028. Big fan of his, hope he’s here until at least the end of his contract

I think the one they will regret the most is the upgrade to Walsh. His contract puts enormous pressure on the rest of the cap IMO and while he can be an absolute gamebreaker, I cant help but feel that he hasn't improved with his errors and I wonder about the impact he has on the wider team
Walters was handling him well keeping him in Queensland cup, that’s how he ended up with us by packing a sad not playing first grade. Even when he was playing with us, I’ve always seen him as a 6. For a smaller body, all you need is heart to at least be a speed bump in the front line defending to give bigger bodies time to assist but at fullback his defence as a last line defender is non existent. He’s got all the skills of a good 6 with a great running game and cutout pass and a decent kicker

reckon Broncos will regret that. Cobbo>>>Staggs.

It does free up a player like Cobbo to be approached by us though, particularly with the apparent cap we have spare to spend.

Would absolutely be a Warriors thing to do to sign a player in a position where quite well off in.

    Come on down Kotoni!
I like berry and Ali, actually I quite like all our first choice backs- even the depth guys like tmm and Pompey but… as a collective I still feel we’re missing a lil something something… if we wanna trouble the top sides or put scores on the mediocre ones we’re probably still just a little short on firepower esp once a couple of injuries hit which is inevitable in today’s game.
If we had the chance to add a staggs, manu, cobbo or ponga I think u gotta pull the trigger.

My wife surprised me & purchased tix to the games(Whole weekend) flights(Perth to Brissy) for magic round. Her folks live 15 mins from Suncorp. So our accom is sorted. I've never been to suncorp. And its been a dream of mine to watch a game there. Bit of bucket list trip for me. Feel like a kid again , Excited! Lol. Hope the boys get the W! I'll be smiling for the rest of the year.

Nice stats shows that our halves are combining even with clunkiness and a lack of polish.
Once they get some more experience we're going to be a bit of a force🤞
We are dominating the league in meterage WITHOUT i) our marquee forward JFH and ii) our first choice wingers: RTS and DWZ. RTS and DWZ are both almost 200+ meters a game on a good day. JFH is good for 120-150m per game. Just imagine what our go forward is going to look like with all our triple bangers back in. Any halves pairing in the comp would kill for a forward pack that performs like ours. Halves clicking is what is blocking us from being a genuine top 4 team imo because we already have a top 4 performing pack.
