I’ll never forget this. Here we are, a battered beaten club. Now I know Smith Bellamy and Hoffman were coming from a space of good intentions - but this is the moment during the covid years that our soul was stripped from us. 2 years later we go to AAMI park for Anzac Day with our team in bits after being away from home for 2 years and we get battered 70-10. Then… Coates last year. Another moment that has left permanent mental scars.
The Melbourne Storm are a good team and a proud club led by good people. But they are also ruthless grubs who love to shovel salt into gaping wounds. The wound they opened up in 2020 has never closed for me - and won’t until we do to them what they have done to us.
Sometimes you go on a long losing streak and each game, improvements are made which means you get closer and closer to a win. Robbie Deans taught me this. It’s about continuing to work towards improving which eventually will get you that win.
I think today might be the day we exorcise at least one of those demons. It is time the streak is put to bed. It’s about time we as Warriors take back our mana. Our pride. Our soul.
We take back what’s rightfully ours. What Cameron smith, Craig Bellamy and co stole from us during Covid.
This is our moment of redemption.
I hope our team runs out today with belief, dignity and courage and plays as a unified team to batter, rattle and unhinge this Storm team. We defend our line like we are defending our honour.
It’s time to finish this once and for all.

On Jye Linnane, I watched him play for Kurri Kurri a couple of years ago and he killed it against a very strong The Entrance Tigers team stacked with NSW Cup and former NRL talent at the tender age of 17 and looked pretty good.
There’s a lot of people in the Newcastle and hunter area that rate him highly so it’s good we are giving him a chance.
We’ve gone after a few young Aussie halves so hopefully a few of them can kick on.

Very close to grabbing him before Covid hit. Can’t see why we wouldn’t approach him again, espeically now he’s won a comp and will prob get another this year.

One of either Matty or Andrew Johns annoited Jye Linnane as the next big thing and long term half at the Knights, floated between 6 & 7.
He linked well with Fletcher Sharpe as a 17 yr old playing Under 21’s. Worth a punt in my opinion., even with ACL injuries.

I don't think this kid will be taking the 6 jersey or is at all brought over for. I can only assume it's the exact same as Healy. He is not taking the 9 off of egan for as long egan is fit to play. It's a devlopment signing, i don't see an issue with it nor do i see it taking up to much space. Iron sharpens iron and such.
Poor kid is getting hammered due to us being hyped up by imaginary and unlikely signings.
Certainly an interesting move due to the ACL injuries but unfortunately the club needs to take these risks on young Australian halves on cheap contracts due to having zero production of viable NRL halves from New Zealand.

Jye Linnane signed
The signing we’ve all been waiting for!
Some posters clearly haven’t watched Joey Manu closely enough. When James Tedesco — arguably the biggest ball hog the NRL has seen — was out, Manu stepped up with exceptional skill and leadership.
He deserves to be a focal point at any club. I’d slot him in at No. 1, 3, 4, or 6 without hesitation. An incredible athlete with size, skill, and versatility. Just imagine him linking up and learning from RTS, and having the same influence on Rocco and Ali that JFH and Barney will instilled in our young forwards.
We need to think outside the box and consider the legacy these players will leave on our young stars long-term. KP is all about KP — a bit like DCE, SJ, and Walsh. For me, Manu is the standout among all the rumored signings. No question.
I still have this weird Nathan Cleary vibe.

I have to respectfully disagree with you sir.
Webby ball appears reliant on a workhorse fullback who carries for big meters and is reliable worker.
With Manu as a fb you get that in bucket loads, moreso than what we are getting now with Charnz. Manu then gives you that x factor where he can create something from nothing.
If Manu wants it, I think it's his.

It's a planned holiday because my work has a break period right now. I always use the time to come back home and watch some games. This year the timing is great because the 2 biggest games in the calendar are coming up: i) Melbourne in Melbourne and ii) Brisbane at Mt Smart. Will be at both.
I'm a good omen: last year I came back to watch us smash Souths in Sydney and in 2023 to beat Cronulla in the wet at Shark Park. So we got this whanau!

As a US based wahs fan, I'm making the trip down under for this one. Last time I went to Aami Park was 2014, which was the last time we beat them in Melbourne. So fingers crossed that 17th time is the charm!
I'm going to call upset this weekend, and at $5.60 I'm punting $100 on the boys.
I don't know why, but I can't help but feel that with no table pressure, we will go out there and play hard knowing the result doesn't really matter as much.

2. 2015 beating the Storm with SJ at the peak of his powers. I think this game and season get overshadowed by the Friend backflip and the subsequent 9 game losing streak that happened after SJ gets injured vs Manly. But I've always thought the way he stepped both Cam Smith and Cam Munster was epic.
3. This weekend's game. Because I'm flying over to it, and we are going to break the streak
