Be interesting to see what being coached by Andrew Webster does for Tannah Boyd
I saw huge leaps for a number of players in their form in 2023

    AFB daily M Prop
    DWZ
    SJ
Barnett made origin and Aussie team as a Warrior under AW
Egan in 2023 people were raving he was in the top three hookers in the game.
    Rocco Berry improved
    Montoya improved
    Cnk refound form
Ford was a regular starter first time in his career

Lets give Tannah a chance and support him. Who knows AW could turn him into Deaden 2.0.

As a Warriors fan I'm glad Australians are happy to come here in the prime of their life rather than at the backend of their career.

Lastly isn't it great there is an actual post in the recruitment thread where someone actually got recruited for the Warriors.

I don't get the negativity here. He is probably the best 7 we have in our squad. Every other half we have is a non kicking 6. This guy is game managing kicking halfback. He's bang for buck, experienced yet youthful, always been rated in Aus, and is only on a 2 year deal. On SEN the Australian presenters really rate the guy, saying he's an amazing team man and hardest working player at the Titans. He's a low risk signing with upside. Yes not a game breaker, but he's not a star signing.

Hopefully he finds the same success as Barnett, Montoya and Ford - Meh signings for most on this forum who punched way above their weight.

@kos asked me on here a couple of months back what I thought of Tannah- don’t know if he knew something…
My response was along the lines of- he should try hooker or super league :ROFLMAO:.
I must admit though since then, the more I looked at what we would be looking for and who was a realistic target, I had a feeling that we might well land on him so I’m not surprised by this signing and for some reason that I can’t really put into words I just have a gut feeling that he could turn out to be a good fit.
Super league would’ve been the easy option so for him to opt to move to nz and keep chasing them dream- I respect that.
He’s gonna be a man on a mission and there is an opportunity here if he can seize it.
At worst he’s experienced back up, at best he reaches his potential here (he was a highly touted junior) and establishes himself.
    welcome aboard Tanwah.

Captain obvious comment but depending on how much we use both SJs the Warriors could be one of the best clubs to play for from a development perspective as a half. Being coached by Stacy Jones, Great. Being Coached by Stacey Jones and Shaun Johnson. Who can beat that as a club? Cowboys have Thurston as a coach. But we are the only club I know of with two coaches with halves experience. Maybe a factor of Tanah coming here and maybe enough to get Dylan Brown for 2026??? Time will tell. I still say we have to make a play at Brown after November 1st. Who cares if he says no. You can't get the girl to dance with you at the school dance if you don't have the guts to walk over to her. Just make it happen. Make an offer.
Im not at all convinced about Staceys coaching credentials

Not going to lie I hated the Tanah news at first glance but as long as we didn't pay big bucks I'm happy with it and it may end up being a complete master stroke. we have done well in recent times with players that are struggling especially from clubs that are also struggling coming through the grades he was highly touted for good reason. I think his running game was slowly coached out of him and ultimately just down on confidence however he's one of us now hate it or love it all the best to the kid hope hopefully he hits the ground running literally 👍

Love it. When you look at the out and out 7s available, and would realistically come to NZ, he’s right up there. We needed a half with SJ leaving, we needed a goal kicker, we needed an organising half & we’ve got one. He’s not a world beater but neither was Maloney when he came over. Nathan Fien wasn’t a star.

Whilst we’d love a superstar 7, so does every other club & we just can’t compete, being over the ditch. This is a calculated gamble on a player with nrl experience, will hardly break the bank & carrys little to no downside, as there’s no one in the pipeline that he’s blocking.

We needed to temper our expectations, there’s very few quality 7s even available on the market. I think our recruitment have nailed this one.

Kind of one of those signings that isn't overly exciting but needed. He is probably as good as we could have done considering who is on the market currently in the halves. Provides much needed depth and competition for spots. Can play 6 or 7. Is only 24 and come through the Aussie system. All in all, you would have to say a solid signing?

Marata's second row days are gone, we saw that this year. Doesn't have the minutes in him and loses the punch he brings with bigger minutes. Not quick enough on his feet in defence. 40 minutes up front, go hard. Barnett will be the prop next too JFH. Ford is looking like the 4th prop for me, then you have Clark. Sifakula and Maiuú, I can't see us getting another prop.

That was pretty boring advertisement for test footy TBH, granted not a final. Australia were fine, pulled along by Edwards, SJ kicked a lot better than he did for the warriors this year.

Klein coaching players the whole game long - yuck
Are you serious? I thought it was one of the best games I'd seen all year - a good old fashioned ding dong, not ruined by endless penalties or six agains.
