Yeah this is probably as accurate as we'll get, he was signed for around $700k and has increased 20%+ with the cap. We signed him at our lowest, so clearly needed to over pay be a bit to get him. I think he had a shit year with the injury he had, then had to play second row when he had bulked for prop. He doesn't have the speed or endurance for the edge, needed to be spelled and didn't provide impact. But, if he can get his fitness back, I think he could be one of the best mids coming off the bench next season. Come on 20 mins in next to JFH, then fill JFH's shoes when he is spelled. He's a scary fucking guy, even him and Fish starting together would be pretty intimidating. Add nut case Barnett and a bit of skill in Harris and Capewell, it's a beasty looking pack. Walker and Clark off the bench to add the speed and energy, plenty for Webby to work with in 2025.

Interesting watching Mitch Barnett on once a Warrior. Says he has big raps on Tom Ale, and goes on to say he doesn’t think Tom knows how good he can be. Great work ethic and everything. Says this is some of the best young talent he’s ever seen. Speaks highly of Sifakula and Halasima, and says Zyon is one of the scariest people he’s met

Sounds like a lot of lies he told privately to the club. It didnt need to get this far but if he lied and created stories and still pleaded his innocence i can imagine Gould would be tempted to rip up his contract. His stories just made Gould look stupid and if there is any NRL identity that doesnt like that, it would be Gould.

At the risk of igniting the very vocal non Bunty fans (which i get for the non existent yardage game) but i actually thought his strong defence couldve come in handy at times this season.........thought a lot of our defensive issues this year stemmed from not being able to control the ruck, Bunty's strength in the wrestle is a tad under valued and couldve helped in this regard.

A fully fit Tohu is a top 3 lock in the game and still deserves his place in the squad I'm excited to see him alongside JFH and Barney next season

Like the Erin Clarke (Clark) signing adds to the staunch forward pack interested in how Webby does the forward rotations next season especially if Niukore switches to Prop just hope we have a spine/backline signing in the pipelines

i played from barefoot cross field at 5 years old until i was eighteen.

mostly at renown united in oatley, sydney.
played and went to school with some guys who made the NRL.
most notably mark gasnier.
matt gillard and peter skinner i think either played a bit of first grade or maybe just reggies.

played mostly hooker. i think a year at second row and a year in the centers when i was younger.
played a season of harold matthew’s cup at st. george in the 90s.

moved to NZ at 18 and never played again.

hilariously i couldn’t for the life of me get enough weight on me to not get ragdolled constantly.
certainly not a problem now, in my forties though.

RTS played round 5 vs Rabbitohs on the wing and scored a try and ran for 165 metres - Zero missed tackles
RTS played round 20 vs Raiders on the wing and scored a try and ran for 256 metres - one missed tackles

He will be an upgrade on Montoya at wing from a try scoring perspective and most importantly defensive perspective - look at those startlingly low missed tackle counts (small sample size notwithstanding)
He also in those games played cover defence and assisted the full back to clean up in goal grubbers

Funny looking at their forum, it looks so similar to when he was signed here. Many underwhelmed, and some idiots taking that wikipedia shit literally even though people on there are posting articles of him and his wife. Even if he was I couldn’t give a shit. He’s been a great recruit to the Warriors and showed genuine love for the club. He’s passed on a good work ethic I would think and sets a great example for the younger guys to run with intent, he can an attacker or defender hard. He’ll provide that great example to that young tigers team

Let’s be clear here , MM has another year to run so the club said they’d honour it ( as they have to do) but he’d be playing limited first grade. They said he’d be best to take a long term contract if he could secure it .
It also helps that he is to be a father soon and will have family support in Sydney.
They both love NZ but know the way football contracts work.

Damn we just blew up a top 4 team to make sense of RTSs fat contract.

No wonder there was no harmony this year. Players must have felt a bit jilted having to move over with Webby trying to fit RTS in somewhere.

Didn't he turn up at Sharks Park last week to cheer the boys on? Sj , Jazz & Addins final game? I thought that was awesome. He still has love for the team. Just needs to mature and learn how to handle adversity a little better. Great player tho.
