Hurrell has shown nothing so far this year, even become a liability carrying it out of our 20 with poor hands... he needs some drastic improvement.
Mateo NEEDS to be dropped so he can grasp the gravity of his situation. He is killing us.
Steve Rapira's footballing career at the Warriors is becoming a bad joke and I can see nothing worthwhile in his selection.
Taylor's reign at hooker is surely over.

These are my major concerns so far...

On brighter notes,

Fisiiahi has impressed me with his workrate and effort.
Johnson and Locke are improving.
Lillyman and Matulino are working their arses off.
The Melbourne recruits are proving to be extremely professional and highly valuable.
Godinet's form is very encouraging.

On this basis:

1. Locke
2. Fisiiahi
3. Henry (if fit)
4. Neilson
5. Tupou
6. Leuluai
7. Johnson
8. Sam Rapira
9. Godinet
10. Matulino
11. Ikahihifo
12. Lowrie
13. Mannering

14. Taylor
15. Lillyman

It's going to be a long season.... That's all I can say.... I will never give up on the Warriors and not watch but it's going to be tough this year.
I dont think it helps we have so many young guys, be interesting to know the average age of this team.. 24 im guessing

1. Kevin Locke
2. Glen Fisiiahi
3. Dane Neilson
4. Konrad Hurrell
5. Bill Tupou (Can't risk Laumape just yet)
6. Pita Godinet
7. Shaun Johnson
8. Jacob Lillyman
9. Thomas Luleuai
10. Ben Matulino
11. Simon Mannering (Konrad will never prosper next to him, switch him with Taylor who can still tackle his ass off and cover him, but also has a bit of ball playing ability when he uses his eyes)
12. Elijah Taylor (Would prefer Ben Henry but can't see Elliott dropping Elijah, tbh I think Elijah is surplus to requirements atm)
13. Todd Lowrie

14. Alehana Mara
15. Feleti Mateo
16. Sam Rapira
17. Charlie Gubb

A two man hooking rotation with spark who make quick darts out of dummy half and actually have some creativity in them (eg. Heremaia/Hohaia 2011) suits our game a lot better than a solid hooker who can play 80mins. Friend's a machine on defence, has good service and his experience is far to valuable especially in this team not to play him when fit though

InsideBall

1. Locke (will improve with every game - definitely starting to see more from him)
2. Fisiiahi
3. Nielson
4. Hurrell (he needs to be given more chances, has had almost no opportunities on attack - lets not forget too quickly how good he has been for us before... can be absolutely devastating at his best)
5. Tupou (deserves another chance after his game)
6. Leuluai
7. Johnson
8. Rapira, Sam (will improves with every game.)
9. Mara (Why not play Mara, if for only the first 20 of each half? Surely more to offer than Taylor, and will absorb the early pressure for when Pita comes on)
10. Matulino
11. Mannering
12. Ikahihifo (deserves a spot in the starting side, offers a huge amount with and without the ball - will only get better with more experience)
13. Lowrie

14. Godinet (game changer... need we say more?)
15. Lillyman (adds huge punch off the bench)
16. Gubb (deserves a chance based on his performance in the trials, and from what I've been reading about the Vulcans.)
17. Mateo (offers so much on attack and is developing a great combination with Nielson, just needs to sort his shit out defensively)

On paper, to me, that is a great side - certainly well capable of pointing a Sharks side with limited points in them.

As good as Godinet was/is, he is unproven at 80 minutes. Let Taylor do the dirty work. Absorb the first onslaught then bring on a fresh Pita to catch the D napping. Taylor only played 32 minutes which is exactly what I'd continue doing. I see him decreasing in minutes as the weeks go by.

With Lowrie's defence and all the boys in general increasing their tackle count, I see Taylor being slowly but surely phased out of the team.

I think ME will keep persisting with this team. Its only been 2 rounds. Only changes will be our bench I reckon...

This is the best side we can field IMO, I like the idea of pairing our best centre with our fastest winger. Neilson will get the flying Fish some quality ball in space. He tried to set Bill up a number of times but there isn't the speed there to finish off the attacking raids.

Can't see ME dropping Taylor outright either as that would be an admission that he's got it wrong, which is unfortunate as we need Gubbs size on the bench.

M.E can't afford to go 0-3. T.L will be hooker, Seijka will be half/kicker, Martel & Steve to Vulcans.

Seijka got knocked out in the Vulcans game so he won't be playing. I can see Steve dropping if Benry's fit but I don't think he will be.
