I know, wont happen, too good an idea to put our best playmaker at halfback i suppose, cleary would put george tuakura there before webb. ridiculous. Anyone else get the same idea that Cleary is doing a Mark Graham and trying to get as many HAS BEENS onto the field at once? We didn't get to the 2002 final like that, the only ones that resembled that was campion ( probably in his prime with us ) and John Carlaw ( a never was, not a has been )

And unless we have a real bad one, I cant see any changes at all over the next couple of rounds.

What exactly did he do wrong?! Apart from screwing up that bomb that give Gidley the try that is. He was average yeah but he wasn't that bad. It isn't exactly his fault the ball's not going out wide that much now is it? No don't think so

It was also noted in the tv commentary that Cleary switched Manu to the right wing in the second half. I'm guessing he did that to have Vatuvei cover Carney, which proved to be a good move given that he stopped Carney from scoring and got a try himself. Perhaps Cleary wasn't entirely confident in Byrne to deal with Carney.

Byrne has had very ordinary games in the last 2 matches. I wouldn't be suprised if he gets picked this week on the proviso that he ups his performance - I'm sure Mr Vuna is more than ready to take his spot if he dosn't.
