I can hear Billy Joel singing now... "I`m a keeping the faith..." Good song and good philosophy to live by, too!! Things will get better, they always do when times are tough. GO WARRIORS!! :D

I think most folks around here realised a long time ago that
more than just faith was required...........

It isn't about faith its about winning. I have faith that things will turn around....but I want the warriors to be excellent....RIGHT NOW.
The danger is we become a mid table team.....Ivan needs to get the faith into some attacking plays and general direction....not high kicks to the corner & inside balls from the runner off the ruck.
I am not losing faith....I just want a miracle.

:)

Those high kicks to the corner are like asking for a miracle... kick it and pray one of our guys gets it...I`d be willing to skip the miracle and just settle for a GAME PLAN.

In my opinion from what i have seen in the first two games we aint that far away from playing winning football. On the down side though we wern't that far from it last year either.....worried?
I am!

nope not to far from winning football, whats killing us is invidual mistakes from invidual players all of which can be fixed...what worries me is it's different players making them each week AND the same thing was going on last season also.

Like i said in another post, leave these salery cap busting players on there huge pay packet but turn there contracts into performance based contracts. If they win ever game they get there $300 000 a season if they lose they get what they have offered the fans for the last 2 seasons....nothing.

Couldn`t help but notice the word "individual" there a couple of times, RS, and I think you`ve hit on something there... looks like a lot of individuals out there, but not much pulling together as a team.

we,ve scored some great tries over the years using this tactic AK, guy like Henry Fa'afili,Justin Murphy,Byrnee and to a degree, manu Vatuvei spend a lot of time in the air.

Its all about the kicker, with a bit of time we,ll be back to scoring off the high kicks. :D

The danger is we become a mid table team..... northwarrior.

too late to worry about that now mate, we,re a long way off mid table and i think it will take a major miracle to get us up to mid way before the end of rd 26.

Agree Old Kiwi, time to be realistic, I can't see us, unless we grab a good convicing win against the Tiges any real chance of making the top 8. We have to move forward out of spoon zone though.

yeah thats the thing that is really troubling me....we are a real chance for the spoon this season.

When the team isnt playing with faith then how do you expect fans to have faith?

We go into a game with no gameplan, that was our problem. There was no set plays and all our trys in 2006 so far has been off miracles and not actual individual performances and good setplays and pressure.

i find the warriors selfish lol. i do my part by betting money on them, tipping them every week and watching them play and all they do is go out and play scrappy football like they did against the eels, the way they played against the eels i dont think they'll be winning a game this season. sh*tloads of people pay to go and watch them play week in and week out and nobody wants to go to see the warriors lose, well not me anyway!

I lost faith in the Warriors when the administration lost the plot...from the Pasifika Rugby revelations to the recent salary cap fiasco...the rot starts from the top.

I DREAD to say it but i think we've got another lemon coach it really looks like he knows nothing about coaching football NOTHING!He puts FIEN AT HALF,SIONI AT 5/8 AND A BUMBLING ELEPHANT UNDER 11s LAUAKI ON THE BENCH. What decent coach would EVER do that EVER. This team SUX because hes trying to be artisic, mixing everyone up,the bloke puts a centre on the wing(MARTIN) which lost us a game, a lock at 5/8(SIONI), a hooker,5/8 who has less vision than a blind person at the most important spot HALF(FIEN) & the guy with the most vision in the team is a hooker who plays half the game.
SO HELP US GOD THIS IS GOING TO BE A PAINFUL YEAR>
PLEASE TELL ME WHY DONT WE EVER GET A DECENT COACH.
AS FANS TO SIT BACK AND KNOW WHATS WRONG AND YET
OUR COACH REFUSES TO DO CHANGE ANYTHING OR ADMIT
HES MISTAKES BECUASE OF HIS PRIDE F**KIN HURTS.

Little tough to call him a lemon after two games, also i doubt the roosters would have head hunted him for there reserves if he was a lemon. I was leading the charge to get rid of Kemp (loved him as a player, hated him as a coach) but i gave him the better part of a full season to prove himself.

So before we start to seriously bag him lets give the man a fair crack at the job.

I agree with you, RS. It`s way too early to judge Cleary as a loser yet. I`ll start to worry about him after another 4-5 consecutive losses.
