Yeah I’ll be keen, need to brush up on the rules but waiting on @Mr. Brownstone to exhaust his legal challenges on the rules first.

Yeah sorry guys im going to have to do the same. Peak season with work and some other commitments means i can only lurk around here atm, and wont be able to put the time in when the game starts. Hopefully u can fill the gap and have a good one.

We have 10 confirmed contestants. @tajhay would you possibly be able to list the 10 entrants into a randomised order for ten rounds? There will be an 11th/12thround(s) for left over letters with no specified round master.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY – 2025 Player Agent Auction Game
Full rules remain in the opening post.1. Eligible Players
You may bid on:- Any player who played at least one NRL first-grade match in 2025
(starting, bench, or 18th-man who entered the field) - Any player from the Hodges Agency Stable
(Top 69 players of the NRL era + 20 nominated legends)
2. Game Structure
- 10 contestants
- 11 rounds
- Rounds 1–10 have a Round Master (order below).
- Round 11 is an open round for all remaining letters (no round master).
3. Round Master Powers
A Round Master:- Chooses one unused letter combination from the official list.
- Receives a bonus added to their war chest for that round only:

4. Letter Combinations Available
Each can only be used once:- B
- M
- T
- C
- F
- H
- S
- G & E & A

5. Budgets & Bidding
- Each player starts with a $15,000,000 war chest.
- Minimum bid: $200,000
- Bid increments: $10,000
- You must make at least one bid each round, except:
- You may skip one round in total.
- You may stop bidding if you already have 17+ players or insufficient funds.
Each player may only receive two bids from you.
This is the major twist of the 2025 game.6. Auction Timings
- Auction opens when the Round Master logs in each morning.
- The thread will lock at a mystery time between 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm NZT determined by Chris Hodges.
- Suggested safe behaviour: finish bidding before 5:30 pm unless deliberately entering the "red zone".
7. Hodges Interventions
If you buy a Hodges Agency player, you are vulnerable to events such as:- Forced fines
- Forced additional bids
- Restrictions on how many bids you can make
- Forced promotions of weak players into your top 17
- Other narrative penalties Chris Hodges creates
You may decline an intervention, but:
- You forfeit the player
- You receive full money back
- The player enters the next day’s draft
- You cannot bid on him again
- New owner must accept the penalty
8. Team Building
- Build your best team of 17 (may acquire more than 17 if you wish).
- Must include:
- Correct positional players
- A recognised goal kicker
9. Conduct
- No PMs about the game
- No collusion
- No trading
- 3 infractions = disqualification
- One Green Card (negates an infraction) may be awarded for exemplary sportsmanship
- Moderator decisions are final

This is why I didn't want to pull the random draw myself. It is a stressy job to honest so I am very thankful to tajhay.Defending champ gets the box seat

The following story happened 6 years ago now so safe to admit this; one year when I was moderator only I fed the 12 players into random.org but it was useless and only changed the position of two people compared to what I fed in. So I made an executive decision to run it again and the second time got more mixed up results and I posted that instead. It is not as simple as it sounds being the random list generator person. I also apologise profusely to tajhay for miscommunicating my request to him as soon as I realised I had requested a random draft order I hurried back to my post to edit it but must have been too late. Poor choice of words by me. Nonetheless we got our randomised roundmaster order so we are good to go. Let the strategising begin.
Mr Brownstone being first over all is not the perfect spot. Number 2 is the perfect spot as is number 3. Number 2 roundmoaster has market intelligence to go on from the first round as to what the prices are. Brownstone is flying blind to a degree apart from his knowledge of previous years drafts. But each year is different. So he will regard his pole position as a double edged sword.

Happy to trade round 1 for someone else if they like… although I’m sure thats against the rules. Agree it’s def not the best spot but I don’t think it should matter a great deal where you play round master from.
