General Worst case scenario

If the worst case scenario does happen and we do lose 6 points, start on -6 with something like a $400,000 fine.
Do you think the Warriors still can make the 8? Meaning that we need to play like a top 4 team to get in the top8 and if we play like a top8 team we will miss the 8 by a few positions?

Do you think the team morale will be good enough to really come back from the dead and make the 8 or will we be resigned to a 2004 type season where after Round 6 we knew it was all over?

I think that we can still make the 8. Just means that we have to get our act together earlier and win those close games.
I don't really know about team morale. Here comes the inductee test for Cleary and Co.

I think it's a matter of how well the players cope, considering their newfound pressure. Will they fall apart, or will they fight like enver before, considering their backs are up against the wall?

Apparently with a -6 start we would need to aim for a top 3 finish to make the 8.

With a -4 start we would need to aim for a top 5 position to make the 8.

With a -2 start we would need to aim for a top 6 finish to make the 8.

If we are docked -6 points, then we would need to gain 34 points to get into the finals. Thats 15 wins from 24 games plus two byes and hoping no other team finishes with 28 points and hoping we have a better points differential.

Imagine having a good start to the season say 3 wins and 2 losses (which would in normal circumstances put us in the top 4) we would be on 0 points going into Round 6. Then we would need to win 12 from 19 games to make the 8.

yer i totally agree with you, i reckon theyre gonna go puss this year but the juniors should develop and we should have an alright team in 2007

I'm not changing. Still top four. I dont think we'll lose six points. And even if we do, thats three more trials we can have aye. AND THEN BOOOOOM !!!!
