You've been sucked in by the media reports - The Warriors have not stated 4 players they would want for a AFB. That's all media speculation with no back up.

George is playing a straight bat, nothing has been confirmed, he hasn't been released yet, everything is still to be confirmed.

Great to get Capewell this season, adding RTS CHT and him to last seasons squad with the loss of a couple bench second rowers is pretty massive.
Interesting how the article is about staying for 2025 and not about serving his contract out that would finish at the end of 2026. All speculation but maybe with that being our premiership window in 2024, 2025 we are trying to sell that as reason to stay on?

Nice checking the social media feed and seeing it listed as Just Now.

So does anyone have any inside knowledge on Niukore to prop or is it forum speculation?

With Capewell and Ford signed it makes sense but imagine how stacked we would be with Capewell and Niukore on the edges and another prop that’s sort of been hinted at!

Ford for depth and a bench role as he lacks explosiveness and x-factor?
You still need an impact backrower on the bench imo. So maybe he plays bench to backrow then finishes in the middle?

If Capewell does join the Auckland-based club, it will allow them to press ahead with moving Marata Niukore into the middle more.
Even before interest was sparked in signing Capewell, the Warriors coaches were already thinking about that switch for Niukore.
He did a good job as an edge backrower last season, but often only played 45–50 minutes there, which limited the team’s rotation.
Niukore would then have a spell on the sidelines and come back on for 10 minutes in the front row.

just saw on reddit someone mentioned that the panthers, sharks and broncos all made the GF with capewell in their team. im not saying we are bound for the GF but im telling you all that its time to get on the GF train!
He had other teams chasing him too, not sure who? The fact he’s played at the clubs you mention and what they’ve gone on to do with his input is exciting that he’s chosen this club and what he obviously sees on the horizon.

How hopeless are the tigers. There was an Olam for Blore swap on the table and storm wanted it done before Christmas apparently. Apparently tigers wanted it after the new year so storm pulled the offer. Now storm have signed Blore for 2025. Not for 2024 as would have been the case admittedly.

Just trying to think back, but aside from the year after we made our first grand final in 2002, I can't remember being so optimistic of a maiden NRL title...

I'm not saying we're going to get there, but I think the build up and expectation of our supported fan base is going to be mental next year.

Top 4 this year, we've added Roger, CHT, Capewell and a whole heap of experience for nek year. Obviously the best coach in the NRL too, were either going to sink miserably or go all the way.

Lesh fooking go!
