it's so sad to see it but there is no loyalty here at all. lance hohaia has done nothing wrong on the field to get dropped. only about half a dozen fans here want him back. he was just only our best player last season and there was no "drop in form". im tired of ppl saying i hope lance gets back into form.
there has been speculation that lance was dropped because of an attitude problem, but coach cleary has not mentioned anything like that yet. all he has said was that george gatis is playing so well that it is making it hard for lance to find a spot. which brings me to my next point. usually when teams purchase mediocre recruits they usually stay loyal to their current form players. the recruits usually work their way up from lower grades. NOT IN THE WARRIORS. without hesistation rovelli and gatis came straight into the starting 17.
im not going to front cos i think rovelli and gatis are great players for the warriors. its just the situation. im a huge hohaia fan and i think his talent has been wasted at the warriors. he is still only 22 and i believe he has only showed half his potential.
its an absolute crock that there is no room in the 17 for hohaia though. ivan cleary is wasting a no6 jersey for a ballplaying forward. if he brings sione faumauina back into his usual position in the backrow, then he can bring in another ballplayer in the halves (rovelli or hohaia, take your pick).
you could have:
6. hohaia 7. fien 9. gatis 14. rovelli or
6. rovelli 7. fien 9. gaits 14. hohaia
etc etc
i know the majority of you think im goin on about crap but i also know u cannot deny this. lance hohaia is too good to be playing in b/c. he was stacey jones' understudy... everyone knows how much stacey rates lance. i always assumed lance hohaia was going take his place in the no.7.
EVERYTIME lance gets a go at the no7 he produces a man-of-the-match performance or close to it. i dont know what else he has to do for you warriors fans to prove that he should be the warriors no 7 (OR AT LEAST in the starting 17.)
