General Why do OUR coaches fail.

Its the in-thing at the Warriors. FAILURE..It is said that if the front office is in shape,then you'll get results on the field. Well we did for a period of time but that turned to custard in no time at all. We could go through the list...
John Monie.........FAILED.
F.ENDICOTT.......FAILED
M.GRAHAM.........FAILED
ANDERSON........Success turned to FAILURE.
T.KEMP..............FAILED
I. CLEARY..........Looking down the BARREL
Seems cut and dried, that something is missing. A motivator, moreso than a coach. Graham Lowe openly admitted that he wasnt a coach as such, that he got by, by motivating the team. Individually and as a team.
Theres no doubting we have the personal, but to get them to gel, is another thing.
The area that makes a difference is your 6,7 and 9. We have had close to the perfect trio there. In Jones, PJ, Mears, Death, Hohaia, Fein, Motu, and the list goes on. But apart from a couple of seasons, there hasnt been much to get excited about.
So where should the finger been pointed. At a coach who cant motivate, or at the board who wouldnt have a clue when selecting its front office, or its coach.

If it looks like a skunk DMM and smells like a skunk then chances are it is a skunk.

What i mean by this is, is it time we stopped blamming the coaching when in fact it is the players that need looking at.

Look at that list of coaches in your list....damn there is some fine rugby league brains in there. So why is it that our club is a rugby league coaches career killer???

Simple, the players.

anyway looking at that list how many of those coaches had highly rated coaching credentials? there are 6 coaches on that list

out of those 6 i would say 1 had serious credentials and that was John Monie

my solution would be to get an australian first grade coach (John Lang, Chris Anderson) and have them coach them but have an assistant such as Tawera Nikau as a motivator, someone the boys can relate to

that way the boys get that australian proffessionalism drilled in to them as well as having a 'father' figure they can speak to

speaking of which, did Nikau play for Cronulla under Lang?

Therefore I'd say boredom is killing the players. Just look at the Kiwi coach. Enthusiastic, not afraid to show passion, talks with passion, exciting, no NRL experience, and yet takes our national team to, not one, but two wins against the world champion. All in a matter of weeks.
You could say , "but they were the best players going around". Not true, they were the best motivated team.
You look at our past coaches. Footy brains galore, but as far as getting the team up, imo, they were failures.

Look at the sharks....I about 30 years in the comp and no premiereship. You cant blame all those coaches for not winning. Its just the way things went down. everybody can take a bit of the blame....even the fans. I mean kiwis arent the most supportive people out there. We love em when they are winning but once they lose we bag the vrap out of tem. We did it to stacy and that helped drive him to france. Keep the faith
