General Who Would You Sign For The Warriors?

From the following groups, who would you like to sign up and the reason i.e. favourite player, think would be a easy signing if approached, a player to fill a positional void for the warriors or who you think would carve up in league. Only interested in current players, who would they replace in the warriors 17 and please provide your reasons why from those above.

1) An AB or International
2) NPC or Super 15 player
3) For a bit of fun and if you don't want to you don't have to but a complete random, a pro athlete from any code, actor, or ficticious character etc

1. Carter. Just for the clusterfuck that would envelop New Zealand rugby union. And McCaw if possible. Internationally: O'Driscoll. Can't say why from a playing perspective. He plays centre for Ireland so guess that's where he'd fit best in league. But I've always liked him as a personality. I'd look at making him captain.
2. Fruen/Ranger. Don't follow NPC so can't comment below Super 15 level and heck, I know I'm not exactly throwing out names that haven't been mentioned before both those guys appeal as replacements for Billy and Jerome. Some kind of mongrel.
3. Axl Rose. And I'd make him captain so he'd give the pre-game interview to Lavina Good. "Axl, what do you have to say about today's game?" "Well, Lavina, I'd just like to ask the opposition....YOU KNOW WHERE THE FUCK YOU ARE?!!?" My namesake because he's stone cold psycho. Forget the goddamn shoulder charge, how'd you like to be tackled by an opposition player who lays you on the ground and as you're lying there, dances around you holding a razor in his hand and singing a pop bubblegum favourite from April of 1974? And, last but not least, Omar from The Wire. A player who rocks up to the game in a duster, bulletproof vest and carrying a single barrelled shotgun. And whistles The Farmer In The Dell....

Hmmm...Edit. Hold the Axl call. He'd probably turn up two hours late. And replace him with that psychotic black dwarf with an Afro Rory Breaker. And give him an Aristotle of the most ping pong tiddly in the nuclear sub and a fire extinguisher.

I was about to spam about this being a poll-thread without the poll, but then I read the post

I don't know many union players outside the Crusaders but here it goes.

1) Carter - more a test then anything. I'd like to see how well he'd go in league.
2) Ranger - would be interesting
3) Usain Bolt - Da man.

1) Ma'a Nonu. Goes hard all day, runs great lines, never shy of taking the ball up. What people who buy into the hype forget is that this guy was ggod enough to keep $BW at second string.
2) Apart from Ma'a Nonu or another AB I dont watch ANY Super 12 or NPC to be able to say. Would rather sit on the couch with my missus and talk about our feelings!
3) Wladimir Klitschko, no explanation necessary!

1. Israel Dagg - could be an absolute weapon as a league fullback, got all the necessary skills - great under the highball, amazing running game, probably the best passing game of any fullback I've seen, would be amazing to see him as the Warriors no. 1

2. Fruen - To me, this guy is just a League player that doesn't know it yet. Would make a devastating centre, fast, strong, can break the line at will... imagine in a few years time, Fruen on one edge, Hurrell on the other (assuming they both tighten up their defence, of course) - every team would be scared of facing the Warriors.

3. Last but not least, if we couldn't get Dagg... obviously, it would have to be Sonic the Hedgehog. Imagine him winding up after collecting a racking downfield kick and spin dashing his way to the opponents try line... he'd be the greatest fullback of all time.

I reckon Zac Guildford would go pretty well on the wing, Good under the high ball and pretty good defensively as well.

Keiron Reid at lock would be interesting to see.

1) Cory Jane be a mean league player fullback or wing he's deceptively strong, fast, great under the high ball, powerful fend , distributor and try scorer

2) Malakai Fekitoa is almost Hurrell like but defensively way more brutal

Yeah probably the wrong thread! Pity about the quality, but that was brilliant anyway. I see both the tries scored agianst us were by DCE, must kill that guy next season!

Id have all the tuilagi brothers for sure..dan carter i think culd be a solid halfback in league..but realistically if i wer the warriors i would have chased robbie fruen, rene ranger, zac gilford, shun maitland, etc we have so much talent in rugby in nz, y not make use of them..

Keiron Reid would be a workaholic in the Gallen,G Stewart,Corey Parker moulds.

Would of loved to of seen how part time All Black and ex Chiefs hooker Aled De Malmanche would of gone in league.He was a beast on attack and defence.

Grant Fox is argueably the best kicker ever but he never took the line on. Did he ever score a try in 8 years for the All Blacks? I remember he got 1 but play was taken back for an earlier infringment against the All Blacks.
