but i read somewhere mclennan wants a few premier league players.

I don't think it should be classified as a test match if NRL players aren't available, it would almost be a second-string Kiwis side barring a few ESL players.

Mate there are enough good players in UK to feild an awesome team. Certainly not second string.

Since when have we really fielded a first team anyway. There is always a few missing in action.

If we could field the first selection we would be world beaters, Oh we are arn't we !

I'd love to see a full strength kiwis side with any nrl or esl player we could have, but sadly it will probably never happen:(

But we've shown we dont need a full strength team to win!! :D

thats true, on the anzac test we cant play our esl players, the only time we field a full strength squad is in the tri nations

Yes, but a large part of the best Kiwis team comes from the NRL, so you can't tell me a Kiwi team with just ESL players is the best team that we can put forward.

And that's usually after a long NRL and ESL season where a lot of players are injured or having surgery for the next season.

I would pick the following team, consisting only of ESL players.

1. David Vaealiki (Wigan)
2. Leslie Vainikolo (Bradford)
3. Toa Kohe-Love (Warrington)
4. Willie Talau (St Helens),
5. Henry Fa'afili (Warrington)
6. Robbie Paul (Huddersfield)
7. Stacey Jones (Catalans)
8. Jason Cayless (St Helens)
9. Richard Swain (Hull)
10. Joe Vagana (Bradford)
11. David Solomona (Wakefield)
12. Logan Swann (Warrington)
13. Shontayne Hape (Bradford)

14. Iafeta Palea'aesina (Wigan)
15. Ali Lauiti'iti (Leeds)
16. Vinnie Anderson (St Helens)
17. Motu Tony (Hull)

I would prefer Motu Tony at fullback, Vaealiki has been very poor this season.
