With SJ’s recent departure who do you think will take all of the crap when the team starts to lose?

My choices:

Hiku - he’ll move into 6 and his defence will be a target again

Green - A lot will rest on his shoulders now so I’m picking fans will sAy, “ this guy is too old , can’t believe they signed him for so long”

Blair - will give away penalties, get suspended ... just another year

Kearney - see Green’s comments

Personally I think the team will go just fine. I like the look of Adam Keighran. He is strongly built but very agile looking. With his punts to the corner might be something to behold. A lot of the talent last year stood in the shade of what SJ wanted to do, or not do. Time for big Ken to show how good he is.

Hmm, which players will get dogged on the most lol.

Has to be Blair for me, though I’m in the minority that believes he leads the side defensively with his line speed and mongrel and hey, don’t discount the value of a quick play the ball.

Got your back Blairy.

My top 3

Kata has already got a cult like following as the one dimensional scapegoat who wont pass the ball

Blair seen by many as a bit of a grub and slow old penalty magnet .

Shaun Johnson it will still be is fault for buggering off and leaving us in the crap

Yeah I can see SJ still getting it, even though he doesn't play here anymore.
For some reason Jazz and kata spring to mind for me as well as SJ.

Kata-Won't evolve. Will still do the same ole.
Maumalo- gets the dropsies a few times. Gets softened up at times.
Lisone- plays turnstile and has a crap few games where we get toweled up.
Hiku-will get blamed whether it's his fault or not cos with Sj gone he was the other player most complained about on here.

Kata for either not passing or us finding out he has a bad pass.
Hiku for being thrown in the deep end and expected to play 6
Tevaga for trying to hard
Even with SJ gone we still have plenty of targets

Kearney - cause he'll bring his son Jazz on as a prop and wonder why we're struggling for go forward with only one genuine oompa on the park.

Jazz - for the above reason

Blair - if we're now questioning value for contracts then as the now current 2nd highest contracted player (im guessing at that btw) surely the "he does the things nobody see's" while spitting out pretty pathetic stat's at the very least should put him under a microscope

…..and who are we kidding.....of course SJ.

Blair because he's massively overpaid, Kata because he's already a scapegoat, Blair because he makes fuck all metres, Jazz for being undersized and a ball hog, Blair because he's a penalty magnet, Hiku because he can't tackle, Blair because he'll get suspended at least twice for cheap shots, Green because he'll be shown up as an average journeyman without SJ in the halves alongside him, and finally Blair for just being an all round crap player.

So we got to within a forward pass of the top four last year because of SJ? Just asking like.:)

I don’t know why your holding back Brownstone but I’m sure you’ll let us all know what your thinking once the season kicks off.

Actually it's funny that you mentioned that you think you're in the minority re your positive view on Blair. I reckon most on here agree with you that he's been a pretty solid signing.

If he was paid less, say roughly minimum wage, then I wouldn't have a problem with him at all.

Lance Hohaia for being the Warriors best utility and sodding off to St Helens. And for headbutting that player's fist twice in an unproked assault, giving himself concussion that led him to quit the game.

John Monie for screwing up the replacement numbers against the Eels.

Seriously:
Hiku/Whoever plays in the halves alongside Green, even if it's not their fault.

Green. Again, might be despite the fact it's due to other failures.

Kearney. For making Kata learn to pass and not telling Kata to stop the passing, after seeing how much work needs to be done on it, until we've given up too many intercepts/knock-ons to make the 8.

Whoever takes over the kicking for being less than 80% successful, costing us 3-4 games, so 8 points, so no finals footy for the Warriors in 2019.

The Mt Smart Joker. Where da heck he been, boi?

And, of course, Cameron George. Heck, the Warriors could win the Grand Final in 2019 and there'd still be a fair number of fans with the torches and pitchforks at his door.

I don't expect much of this to actually come to, unlike Kata, pass. I think we'll have another solid season myself.
