Just a question, wff. I am thick when it comes to reading. Are you posting a message or texting it.??? Cant make heads or tails of what you're saying.

It's not impossible but still highly unlikely, considering that we have only won 3 of 8 games so far.

The question is can the Warriors make the eight. Of course they can. Mathematics dictates that.

However, if it had been will the Warriors make the eight, I might not have voted for yes...

Basically what he/she said is that they're sick of people saying that this season is over and done for our team and that we should start preparing for next season.

I for one think that this season isn't over and done yet. Won't be over and done until round 26 and even then it might not be over.

Half of these response are shocking. Can't believe you'd all think that. Yes it might not happen but I never rule out any team regardless of their situation. The game of rugby league is unpreditctable. Just when you think it's all goingbad for one side ie: the Warriors, for all you know (and don't say you do know because no one can preditc the future) things may happen for the better.
I'm not being clever, I'm not being smart I'm simply being fair. It's too early to say and too early to prejudge anyone. Everyone says the Cowboys are going to be certainy. Perhaps they will be, but perhaps they are going to expirence a terrible run come middle of the year...or like the Broncos, stumble and bumble their way out of form, even the Knights who can't win a game without Joey. Or the Roosters that loss the ANZAC match (i didn't think they'd lose it to be honest).

If the Warriors are there by the end of the year it would make for interesting reading what all the 'disbelievers' will say :p

I believe that the Warriors can pull off some upset wins during the season. If everything clicks for them on any given day there is certainly the personnel at the club to achieve a win here and there.
But to find the consistency to make the finals and be a serious contender there would need to be an improvement in:
1/ The gameplan and general direction of the team i.e. the control of the halves, the kicking game etc.
2/ The discipline & handling of the players i.e. if you are popping balls to no-one & dropping the pill on a regular basis, you won't win.
3/ The contribution of ball-players & game-breakers i.e. Toopi / Sione / Ropati etc have to find a way through defences & over the white line.
4/ The general intensity of the team i.e. more incisive dummy half running, more aggressive ball-carrying in the forwards, a defensive line than moves up quicker and with more sting.
It's all very well to say "we can make it"!! but it's a different matter to back that up with solid reasoning.

after the way we played the doggies I dont think we can make the 8 BUT win a couple of games in a row, get some confidence back, bring a mongrol into the forwards and rovelli as no 7 who knows???

I agree wholeheartedly, Kiwi League. There is a lot to be done if the Warriors are to make the top eight. But I refuse to lie down and play dead just because we haven't started strongly. And if we don't make the top eight this season, there's always next season. ;)

If they play those 16 games the same way they've played the first eight we are in the hunt for the spoon. If they improve out of sight they might make the eight.

Bingo, intensenty these guys run so soft the only line they can break is south sydney's well until south sydney acutally tried. Why are they running so soft??Do they care?? I think they do but they look at this as a job instead of a team bonded with spirit. I've already told you my opionon that a Nz team has no Nz spirit. I think spirit can be underestimated, coach's will not use this as part of there training, taking for granted they will break an arm for a paycheck. I don't think it works this way as one Brian Mclennan knows, team spirit can cause miracles to happen. It took insults from fans for the roosters have spirit & therefore have caused the upset of the year. Beating the cowboys in there own backyard. The roosters team spirit was huge to the point where Brett Finch told fans to kiss his arse.
Coming back to the warriors, i think managment are learning creating bonds between Nz schools & the Nz warriors. Creating a Nz atmosphere again by bringing back the drums to home games. All this is "spiffing" but should have been done years ago, & won't help the team in the immediate future.
How do you guys think we can bring the Nz spirt in a Nz team???
I have a few suggestions, a nz captain should be a NZ captain??? There fore i'd give wiki full captaince, if inapropiate this year next year for sure. I'd get rid of a few aussies, camly & not nessercerly all this year. Who really shouldn't have been bought, A few aussies is great but 6,7 this its a Nz team for god's sake it's beginning to look like East australian warriors. I think 3-4 australians is plenty. The haka to be done rd 1 every year. Culture lessens once a month, learning about there great ancestors. Just afew ideas can go along way. After all it only took one thing for the spoilt brats of bondi to learn team spirit.

phew, just saved me from slitting my wrists with depression warrior faithful, thank god there's someone who has some kind of loyalty.

All the 'season's over' posts since the weekend make me sick - and are so typical of that whingy defeatist martyr like Kiwi attitude. The Aussies have it all over us in this department, when they win, they rub it in, when they lose they generally ignore it, look at the positives, take it on the chin. I can't believe with 16 games to go people could pack it in like that.

I understand debating the game, changes, even looking to next year whether we're winning or not, but all the sooky wimpy talk is so lame. Harden up!
