Just watched Water world again. Gotta be the biggest waste of time and money a clown fool like Costner could come up with. Movie? I liked "I am Sam". Because, I am Sam. Book, "Maori Sovereignty" written by Donna Awatere was my bible when I was a youngster. b4 you flame up. Remember this was the 80's and apartheid was a reality on this planet.

Just thought of another movie. "Good Will Hunting". And I'm glad the foreigners here ask me about "Whale Rider", rather than "Once were Warriors". LOR was great... I watched Lee Tamahori's James Bond movie yesterday. It was not the best.

One memorable film from my childhood:

The Magnificent Seven had stirring music, gunslingers turned into heros against the odds,
sadness as four of them met their deaths and a fitting conclusion as the baddies were routed and Yul Brunner and Steve McQueen rode off into the sunset.

Just the stuff to enthral a youngster - they don't make movies like this anymore.

haha yeah I like that movie too.

Its sad these days how little kids don't know things like Pinnochio, Cinderella, Jungle Book etc. etc. I try to sit my nephews down to watch them and they go off and play or bug me to let them play the X Box. Sad sad day when they don't know about Walt Disney classics or childrens classics

If you guys haven't seen Friday Night Lights yet then your missing out! This is the most amazing true story of a Texan football team.

Powerful movie that I would urge you to see. Favourite movie of all time.

Came out in 2004 and I can watch and watch and watch.

Too many movies to choose from, but after taking a look at the dvd collection here's what I came up with.

Action/Adventure - Blade trilogy, Indiana Jones trilogy, Bad Boys (Just the first one), and the Terminator trilogy (more 1&2 than 3).

Comedy - Rush Hour 1&2, Ace Ventura 1&2, Big Momma's House, Friday (The first one).

Horror/Thriller - The Thing, Aliens Quadrilogy, The first Predator, The Ring, The Grudge.

Children Classics - Lion King, Watership Down, Transformers (movie sux, but it's high on nostalgia), The 2 Ewok movies (cheap attempt to cash in on Star Wars mania, but I loved them as a kid nonetheless).

Drama - Boyz In The Hood, Remember The Titans, Higher Learning, Blood In Blood Out (A must see), Menace II Society.

There's too many to name, but those ones stand out for me in some way or another. And after looking through my dvd collection again I seem to be saying " how could I leave that out" to every second movie. lol. But that'll do.
