Yeah, Queensland have taken it out!!! Thurston was the man, just kept breaking the line, Lockyer didn't have a great game but that intercept try made up for it all, Mogg's try was absolute class, put it down just before going out, Graeme West was an absolute joker, you can tell who he was supporting.

Just been speaking with an All Black great. He said last nights SOO was the best game of footy he had seen in either code for the last couple of years. He was amazed at the stamina and skill levels dispalyed by both teams. I've known this bloke awhile and he is a genuine sports fan with no baggage.

For four years between the ages of 15-20 I was living up in Sydney and I loved it up there. It's how I even got introduced to state of origin. and yes I do consider myself a nswelshman too. Only that side of moi emerges three times of the year

I'm super glad Queensland won. Justice was served. Playing against Steve Clark and in particular Graeme West was absurd. Four pathetic decisions last night nearly cost Queensland Origin

1st bad one: The Carroll no try - this from the SMH

Just a week after the NRL issued an edict that play could not be stopped for the video referee to rule whether the ball had been stripped in a tackle, West penalised Queensland prop Steve Price for knocking the ball loose from Grothe's grasp before Carroll dived over in the 41st minute.

Technically he's not allowed to rule on a stripping infringement. At any rate, what price for ball security? Price tackles the ball, ball comes out, tough sh!t. Play on. Try.

2nd bad one: The try scored off Hodgson's wrist. Well we've seen it all. They called Maradona the hand of God in the World Cup, Hodgson's got his title now.

3rd bad one: Knock on off Thurston's chest, called a knock on. Repeat set, NSW try.

4th bad one: Missing Matt King's swinging arm to the head of Thurston on the ground. Should have been penalised and on report with an automatic judiciary hearing.

Disgraceful video and on field refereeing display. Still justice was served, it was a bitter sweet game.

Yeah, I couldn't believe the double blow of Carroll's try being disallowed and then the try at the other end of Hodgson's knock-on. If NSW had've won after those two travesties I think there would be plenty of questions asked. Anyway, I think both of them don't deserve to officiate in a State of Origin game again, they both nearly cost Queensland the game and series when it is obvious what the decisions should have been.
