Edmund Rice Camps (ERC) Auckland is lucky enough to have NRL coaching legend Wayne Bennett as special guest speaker for our fundraiser, as well as other guest speakers.
A little bit about Edmund Rice Camps, we are a not for profit organization running camps for kids (aged 8-13 years) in need of a break due to family, social, financial or behavioral circumstance. We are a unique organization run by young volunteers (17-25 years) offering a 1:1 ratio of leaders to kids, giving the opportunity to learn self worth through social skills and experiencing positive role modeling.
Our camps aim to provide a fun filled week of activities and challenges that encourage children to come out of their shells and realize their full potential. The diversity of children and leaders who attend camp creates a culturally enriched environment that explores, teaches and motivates positive behavior, confidence, life skills, teamwork, and leadership amongst many other benefits. Since edmund rice camps auckland is a voluntary not for profit organization, we rely on the compassion and enthusiasm of people in the community to generously donate and fund our camps.
The evening will be held at Otahuhu Rugby League club. They will be running the cash bar and there will be a sausage sizzle, raffles and giveaways. In addition we will be playing and NRL game Manly vs. Bulldogs.
