do the warriors have a wrestling coach? Who is the guy with the Grey hair that has pretty big muscles that you always see with the warriors players? Is he a wrestling coach? Whats his name? And is he a boxing trainer too?

I wish a legs tackle was rewarded. Like you can’t play the ball until the tackler gets back to marker. Will never happen but the legs tackle will be extinct in a few decades.

Just as we appear to have made some progress in the wrestling department with Kai Kara-France, it sounds like Abdo and co are making some noises about preventing clubs from using wrestling coaches moving forward.

I would have celebrated that 12 months ago.

Instead of restricting wrestling imo it would be more effective to reward classic legs tackles. If they started giving dominant calls for legs tackles there would be less incentive for plays to slow down the ruck with wrestling. The way the game is referee encourages wrestling.

Find some of the refereeing calls against us puzzling at times but don’t generally buy into the bias against the Warriors but with the storm doing this for years and Robert Whittaker involved with another club for a couple of years now I think, does this almost feel targeted at us?

what's wrong with wrestling? it's a critical part of the game. it's like saying cricketers shouldn't be allowed to play golf or bring in a swing coach.

It never was part of the game. It has made dangerous tackles easier to get away with, bunker or no bunker. I cannot see how banning wrestling coaches is going to help though.

No doubt wrestling has had a negative impact on the game. If you watch older games it is noticeable how different the game looks especially the tackles.

The other benefit of it is the fitness it will provide. It is a different energy system to the traditional running/cardio. Getting up off the ground. Moving bodies around is taxing.

In the early days of MMA it was common that the fittest guys were the guys with a wrestling background who can grind.

Before banning wrestling coaches how about the NRL define a hip drop first and work from there.
