Johnny Walker is not drunk by whisky snobs, outside of Asia anyway, it is a blended scotch, not single malt. The best blended is Teachers, that no snob admits to drinking.

There are some pretty good Johnny Walker variants to be honest. Single malt is not necessarily better than blended either. I've had some blends that blow 90% or more single malts away...

Lying in bed this morning I realised that it is game day and I can lie on the couch tonight and watch the Warriors and I was looking forward to it.
Am I mad?
We are playing the Storm and they will probably beat the snot out of us and pull our pants down just because they can.
Is there some sort of 12 step group for people like me? Or am I just a sad old masochist beyond saving?

No I think you are just like the rest of us, we have kind of accepted losing. It's so sad, but I have accepted losing and have stopped worrying about losing. Used to be pumped on game day, hoping against hope that we might win. Must admit that I'm a bit less stress now that I have accepted how bad we are, and just tune in to hope we can score a couple of cool tries.

Fought it for a while, but the covid excuse just kept trumping any complaints I had.

We haven't beaten the Storm since July 2015, since then it's been a run of 12 straight losses. Some of those losses have been absolute floggings, the worst in our history in fact.

So being a realist, I voted that we'd only win by 6 or less.

Tis rightcheous to fear the coming Storm (sorry been in the Manly thread, church and same sex carry on in there).

Truth is, the game largely depends on our defence, which is improving, so there is a sliver of hope here.

We used to trouble the Storm, but they worked out the code.

Warriors play 2nd phase to beat the wrestle.

Bellamy has countered that by focusing forgoing the wrestle, no longer do they try draw us into a wrestling contest in tight, instead they crush the Warriors by using their light speed game.

Pretty smart chess really, and pretty simple.

Rather than try stiffle our offload, they blitz our substandard ruck defence.

Now the problem for us is they can do this even with a makeshift line up, because it is how they train.

The obvious counter is last weeks 1st half versus Canberra where it was the Warriors playing up tempo.

Shaun u know who has to learn to not hold conferences on the break down of play to have his moment on stage as the go to talker..he has to start rushing those plays and getting called up by the Refs for going to soon.

The man has always had quick feet but never showed urgency at the break down, which is unfortunate when he is literally the metronome of the whole club.

Warriors have to be massive up the middle on defense. That is where Melb will be running it with such a msssive pack, watch that closely and see how many smaller backs fall off the tackles. Egan will be strong no doubt. Jazz needs to put the high school loose carry rubbish away and run 150m and make 55 tackles in the middle.
